Be silent or be silenced!

If one thing has become crystal clear in the last 4 years, it’s that the left is no longer covert in their push to dominate and rule as tyrants. The DNC could not accept that the peasantry elected Donald Trump in 2016, so they spent every moment not made to do their jobs trying to prove “collusion” which they failed to do at every turn. When it was proven Obama’s administration broke US law to spy on then Candidate Trump, it was ignored.

Today? Biden’s team wasted no time in setting up calls with other world leaders once he declared himself POTUS elect, but in 2016 that was “collusion” or “violating the Logan act” or some other rubbish when Trump, who was POTUS elect at the time, did the very same thing. If that doesn’t prove the DNC’s core belief is “we are always right, you are always wrong, even if you agree with an obey us, you’re a bigot we will rule or destroy” nothing will.

This mindset has moved slowly from the halls of liberal Congressional offices, into the mainstream, and further, and now has all but infected every aspect of life. Sites that were, only a year or so ago, very open to true free speech, now regularly reject comments or ban accounts for “violating community standards” while ignoring that there was no violation, or actual violations of the rules by liberals. Case in point, here are the “standards” from The Political Insider, followed by a comment I tried to post.

Nowhere in my comment did I attack anyone, lie, nowhere was I racist or in any other way in violation of their “standards,” yet my comment was rejected. Why? I can only guess, but notice I point out the DNC wants to flood the country will illegal immigrants, to cripple then destroy our economy and health care system, so they can rule the ashes. Only in 2016 did the term illegal immigrant become “racist” because the media decided that no matter the fact it’s a term describing “any person who enters the US illegally” they just knew “Trump hates Mexicans.” Four years of proof to the country has been ignored, and now saying illegal immigrant is “racist.”

Folks, this is something directly from Orwell, Bradbury, or Huxley. We’re being told we have no choice but to obey the government, it’s only what they’ll do when millions say “WE WILL NOT COMPLY” that determines if we end up in Fahrenheit 451, 1984, Animal Farm or Brave New World.

The 1984 adaptation of that book, starring John Hurt, was very well done and true to the novel. The new version on HBO of Fahrenheit 451, surprisingly, is also very true to the novel, and something I would highly recommend watching. Both of those show how tyrants use their power to strip anyone who doesn’t bow to their rule of their very ability to exist in society. Sadly, the revisionists are already working to turn these warnings into something praising tyranny, as proven by Peacock’s adaptation of Brave New World.

I won’t apologize for spoilers as honestly if you’ve not read the book, you’ll likely say Peacock got it right and still never open the book to see I’m right. In the book, Huxley describes a world, New London, where humans are all genetically engineered into castes, with anyone who gets pregnant forced by law to abort the child. Huxley describes an extremely racist caste system, one of two things I think Peacock’s version got right in their portayal, the other being the hedonistic way of life, where children are taught to be sexual beings at VERY young ages, as well as being taught they belong to everyone else, and must obey higher castes.

In the book, Bernard visits “the savage lands,” a reservation of sorts, where people aren’t drugged regularly, still get married, have religion and raise families. Of course he feels all of this is a backward way of life, but finds a young man and his mother, who turn out to be a woman left there by mistake 20 or 30 years ago by an Alpha+, so he brings these two back. The woman OD’s within a day, leaving John alone. Bernard tries to get him to reject all he knows and give in to New London’s “just take the Soma and have some sex, then you’ll be happy” way of life, but he never does and runs from the city, living alone and the story ends.

Peacock, run by NBC and obviously a very liberal organization, decided that this wasn’t right, so they portray the caste system as one where those in higher positions care for those beneath them, where children are happier not being in families, where the savages are really just actors who choose to suffer without the amazing life in New London, and where John does integrate for a while, then stupidly leaves, leaving Bernard, in the wake of New London’s destruction, with a plan to conquer the savages and start it all over again.

So, my question for you today is very simple, what kind of life do you want? One where you are free to make your own decisions, or one where you’re kept pliant and obedient, by force or by chemistry? I grew tired of being told “no, just obey my commands” months ago, I grew tired of “BELIEVE SCIENCE, BUT NOT THE SCIENCE OF A DOCTOR YOU’VE BEEN EXAMINED BY, ONLY MY SCIENCE” months ago, and I am still tired of it. We are on the cusp of falling into a world that will take so long to escape it may not happen before the world ends, will we step over the line and fall to living under tyrants or step back? I know my choice and I will smile as they gun me down for refusing to comply, what will you do?

Leaving YouTube

Ask any conservative on YouTube, or hell, anyone who isn’t a lock step “you must obey us or be forced to comply” liberal, and you’ll quickly learn that YouTube hates them! One of the biggest “gun-tubers,” who ensures everything is safe, and while entertaining, also educates, is never monetized on that channel, that’s Demolition Ranch, how much money does YouTube make from ads on his channel, but because he’s not anti-2A, they don’t share it?

I don’t support showing people harming others, being stupid with firearms, or advocating violence or worse, but none of that happens on his channel, nor have I shown or said anything on mine to warrant any punishment, yet I had a video where I discussed how someone turned in a sexual predator for assaulting them (not in the US) taken down for a BS reason, and just last week, one discussing Sol Pais and only after I appealed, clearly stating I did not show any graphic content, was it reinstated. Now, I know it’s most likely that I’ve pissed off a snowflake somewhere and they’re reporting everything they can, hoping to get me banned, so I’m robbing them of that pleasure, I’m moving to Rumble.

As I say in all of my videos, civil discussion is the key to debate and learning. We don’t learn from arguments, other than learning who to avoid speaking to. Yet, people still feel the need to insult and belittle, and they get blocked. I’ve personally had people threaten bodily harm on me, or worse, on Twitter, and was told it “did not violate community standards,” but my calling Joe Walsh a pansy (and he is) got me booted. YouTube allows liberals to spew their hate and worse, but a Conservative pointing out that a liberal is wrong is to be destroyed.

I will ultimately delete my videos, so I wanted to ensure that, before I leave, I ensured you have a way to find me over there. This link goes to my Class-time channel, while this link goes to what will become my SHED Talks channel, all things that aren’t Class Time videos or gaming videos, which will have their own channel if/when I begin playing something new.

Big Tech is working overtime to silence all dissent and they don’t care who they have to subjugate to accomplish their goal. I abandoned Facebook over a year ago, and haven’t looked back, Twitter now bans me within an hour of creating a new account, and I’m sure Instagram will find a reason before long. I am on Gab as Sheepdog Smokey, as well as Parler and I even joined TikTok where I am finding a LOT of patriots, and funny videos. I will always show my face and you can also know it’s me because the profile picture will be me as well, and I doubt anyone is trying to copy me, so there’s that too.

We are living in very tenuous times folks, keep your ears to the ground, eyes open, head on a swivel, and your powder dry. The day is coming when those who believe themselves above all others will demand obedience and worship, and anyone who dares defy them will be labeled an enemy of the state. That day is the day that liberty will fully be under attack, and only patriots will be able to save it.

Time for a refresher, again

In the last day or so, I’ve seen, and been told, that I’m completely wrong about the Second Amendment, that it doesn’t cover anything the liberal speaking wants banned, that it’s for hunting only, and that it’s only to allow the Militia to bear arms, then I’m told the Militia is the national guard, a concept not even considered at the time the Constitution was written.

Militia can be VERY LOOSELY used to describe a military force, as the words Militia and Military share a root in language, but that’s it. The Founders, who despite what the left wants to say, were incredibly intelligent, knew that any organized force, having sworn an oath, could be corrupted and used to subjugate the people. Even with as carefully created an oath as the US has, where the military and national guards all swear to the Constitution, they knew the day may come when those forces would be corrupt, so they specifically said Militia, which is specifically a civilian organization.

One need only go as far as a single quote from George Mason to see that. “I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” Mason, of course, is completely correct, as he witnessed the military of his day, sworn only to the King, ordered to subjugate the colonies, and willing to do so. Roughly 3% of those living in the colonies, however, formed a militia and fought back, which directly led to the writing of the Second Amendment.

As such, the Militia is and always will be a civilian organization, and in fact, specifically requires it’s members to resign any position or office under the Government. If you are in the Military, Guard, even as a reserve member, or hold any government job, all the way down to janitor, you are barred from serving in the militia. It is because of this the words “the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” were used. The full text, when you account for the language of the time, would mean “As it may be necessary for the citizenry to one day defend themselves from a tyrant government, to remain secure and free, they shall not be infringed in any way in their right to own, carry, and use firearms.”

Sadly, decades of purposeful bad teaching, re-writing of history, and more, have lead to a new generation of teachers who think they are properly teaching, and 2 or more generations of students graduating high school firmly believing that no one save the government may own firearms. They argue using terms such as “military grade weapon,” ignoring that the military issues more pistols than M-16’s, or very close, that shotguns are used very often, and in fact, the vast majority of rifles are not select fire, as that is only for “spray and pray,” or “assault weapon,” ignoring the fact that the term literally just means “a weapon used to assault someone.” I have personally shown a photo of an AR-15 and a Mini 14 to someone, then asked “which rifle is allowable” and they point to the Mini 14. When I then show them video proving that in all ways but appearance and customizability, they are the same weapon, in that they fire the same round, are both semi automatic, and in fact use the same magazines, I’m either told both should then be banned, or that I’m a liar who faked a video. The vehemence against firearms is so pervasive that it’s all but impossible to even come close to someone using logic to work out that the AR means Armalite Rifle, that it’s not “military grade,” and in fact, their arguments are all crap.

Perhaps the saddest of all is the hypocrisy in government. Hundreds of people guarded by men and women with the very rifle they hate, want to disarm those they are supposed to serve. Just this week, the DNC has said they wish to bar the public from the Capitol in DC completely, Pelosi called for automatic weapons, most of them vehicle mounted meaning larger calibers, to be in place for the inauguration, and the barriers around the public houses of Congress show that we are now being ruled by people who openly hate us, and the fact that for now, they can’t just roll up and force compliance. I know the day is coming, and while I pray I’ll be long dead, I know I may not be, and I will promise once again, I will not be disarmed save by my death. I will die on my feet, fighting as a free man, before I live as a servant to a tyrant on my knees.

God bless, keep your eyes and ears open, your head on a swivel and your powder dry.

The future?

The crackdown on conservatives across social media is only going to get worse. I know there are multiple theories about what’s going to happen on 20 Jan 2020, but it doesn’t matter which is right, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and every other platform, save the very new ones run by conservatives, will continue to ban conservatives, saying we “incited violence” or for “hate speech,” while ignoring violence and worse from liberals. Also, and as many predicted, Twitter and other social platforms are losing billions, and it won’t be until they are bankrupt that they realize why.

I can understand the desire and need to protect people from harm, but when you extend that to censorship, you begin doing harm. Laura Loomer is a perfect example of this. As she exposed liberals for the liars they are, social media began to crack down, banning her, blocking people from even mentioning her, and that wasn’t it. By now, she cannot use Paypal, Venmo, Uber, or even order from Uber Eats, and has found that she’s in the NICS database as a prohibited possessor despite having never committed any crime, leaving her unable to travel without a lot of work, unable to do business with many people, and quite literally at the mercy of any criminal who wishes her harm.

This, however, is not likely to continue unabated, as those doing this are beginning to see that they are losing money, fast. In just the last few weeks, Twitter and Facebook, after banning President Donald Trump’s personal account “indefinitely,” have lost over $50 billion and, despite pressure to block Parler, their biggest competitor, that trend is likely to continue, which will mean those tech giants will ultimately be forced out of business, or to sell to someone who will reverse course, although I doubt even that will save either of them. The only company not suffering, yet, is Amazon, as they are still able to play on the shutdown to be the only option for many people to get goods they need, but as more people get fed up, they will leave Amazon as well, returning to shopping locally, and then the fun begins.

You see, when these liberal run companies are hemorrhaging money faster than an amputee loses blood, they will blame the very people they told not to do business with them, or prevented from logging in, while crying about their “right to do business freely,” ignoring their own actions to deny others that very right. CNN, while crying about Fox, Newsmax, OANN, and other networks, openly talks about doing all they can to prevent those very networks from even operating, blatantly admitting to their plan to being the only network, an American Pravda if you will.

Americans, sadly, have been spoon fed a careful plan of socialism and submission for so long, that millions will cheer their subjugation and control, but millions of others will never comply, and then it gets bad. You see, when the government, run by liberals who refuse to allow fair elections, thus ensuring their own tenure, realizes they can’t control people, they will change and try to do so by force. The Military, including the National Guard, having sworn to support and defend the Constitution, will abandon their posts in droves, and what’s left will be rolled into a new force, beholden only to the DNC, and happy to follow the order of “they will comply with our wishes or you will shoot them.” When those thugs then invade small town America, ordering people to comply, the shooting starts, and at the end, the DNC will be left with a “military” afraid of those they subjugate but more afraid of defying the tyrants in charge, and a country that now must force the very liberals they’ve pandered to for decades to work.

I wonder, if/when it gets to the point of ordering antifa or blm to shut up, go to work, and pay taxes, will we hear “but you said I could be free, I don’t want to work, why are you doing this?” Then of course the crying about how the “evil right wing bigots didn’t warn anyone, and now they’re all dead so I have to work.” Or more likely, will the snowflakes be cowed by the only people with guns, and trudge off, accepting the meager rations given to the workers who pay 100% in taxes?

Listen but also think

The last few days have been filled with post after post all over the web about how this or that is going to happen, no question. Everyone has their theory, and everyone is vehement in their defense of their theory, which is to be expected, but with everyone saying something different, a lot of people are going to be wrong, at least in some way.

What I will say is that I believe the lessons of Sun Tzu are being followed by some in positions of power, to such a degree, that we will never see what happens, or understand it, until long after it’s done. You see, when you have an opponent who is hell bent on your defeat, you need to have patience and use certain strategies to ensure you follow some very simple steps.

One, never show your hand, or even hint at it. I’ve never hidden the fact that I support President Donald Trump. I have watched for nearly four decades as the political divide has widened to put the Grand Canyon to shame in it’s size. In the 1980’s, the country was flourishing, so those who have, forever I believe, wanted to subjugate the country under socialism, decided to simply bide their time. The DNC convinced Reagan to grant amnesty to countless illegal immigrants by promising a border barrier, which of course, they never delivered. In 1992, Bill Clinton began their slow march to success, but was hampered by a GOP Congress on many fronts, and in 2000, George W Bush was elected and they began to bide their time again. The left has tried to impeach every GOP President since Eisenhower, but has never been successful, but in 1998, the GOP did impeach, and convict then censure, Bill Clinton, surely angering them greatly. So, they’ve been showing their hand at every turn, never hiding their goal of raising taxes, opening the border, and ensuring the American People are ruled, not governed by public servants.

In 2016, the DNC was so sure their tactics, which had worked for decades and only achieved granting them more and more power, would ensure Hillary Clinton would become President, but when that failed, they threw all caution to the wind. Members of the DNC openly called for violence, others simply ignored it while they lied about it when forced, to the point that the current ticket has a VP Candidate that actually said the White House is “our rightful place,” admitting that they truly believe only they may ever be President and VP. 2020 has only served to further their descent into open tyranny, with their supporters preventing anyone from observing vote counting, boarding up windows, hundreds of thousands of votes are “found” in the wee hours of the morning, and 100% of those go to their candidate, judges throw out challenges, all leading to one thing, this ends up at the Supreme Court, which explains why they fought so hard to ensure Trump never managed to put anyone on that bench.

But what happens if you don’t show your hand? Simply, you let your opponent make all the mistakes, they fall into every pot hole, and when it’s all said and done, they are exposed and easily stopped. President Donald Trump attended a military high school as a teen, no matter if he served in the military after or not is irrelevant. Having studied History to the point of earning a degree, having been AFJROTC in high school, and specifically studying Military History as a subject, I know he would have learned the lessons of Sun Tzu. His adult life, turning a loan of $1,000,000 into a business empire worth over $4,000,000,000 in roughly 50 years, simply, shows a ruthless side that ensures he will not be beaten unless it’s a fair fight, which this certainly is not!

When this fully plays out, we will have concrete proof of all fraud, we will see powerful people held accountable for their crimes, and sadly, we will see a time of heightened unrest. The DNC, and even some foreign countries, are threatening military action if “Trump refuses to leave office,” but they forget two things. First, the US Military swears to uphold and defend the US Constitution, not a person, and second, the US Military is the strongest in the world! Trump has brought MANY Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines home from battlefields that, only 4 years ago, Democrats demanded they come home from, until Trump started doing it, and they demanded endless wars all over the planet. The National Guard is, at it’s core, a non-military force, or para-military force if you will. But, they swear on their State Constitution and on the US Constitution, and if called to Federal Service, are instantly in the Army or Air Force (or other service depending on their state, Texas has only Army and Air National Guard,) and beholden to their oath alone.

If either candidate, with the amount of evidence we have now, let alone more, declares victory and calls for the process to stop and their declaration be obeyed, commits, simply, treason! Should Joe Biden, despite challenges in courts in multiple states, SCOTUS orders to allow observers (so far) in PA, declare victory and call for the system to just obey him, that is an attempt to overthrow the government by claiming to control it, and that is treason. There is only one punishment for treason, I’ll let you look that up. How does that happen though? To publicly carry out said punishment would, quite simply, throw such a firework into a powder keg situation, that the country would be burning in minutes. But, to quietly address all of the issues, then release just enough information, with people “withdrawing from society” or something else happening, well, that’s easily accepted. I cannot firmly speak to the John McCain situation, other than there is evidence he personally handled the now proven false Steele dossier, meaning he was part of an attempt to remove a duly elected President, and his sudden health issues and death, well, it’s not beyond belief that something happened we’ll not know about, nor will even our great great great grandchildren, only decades or centuries after something like that could it be admitted, if even then.

Look at the JFK situation, where so many people question the event, but the official documents are still sealed, or what was released was so vague, no one knows still. My parents were in middle school on 22 November 1963, both believe, as I do, that “something was rotten in the State of Denmark” that day. Were someone to release undeniable proof that they’ve been right for 57 years ago, well, many would demand severe punishment for all those still alive who were involved. That alone would throw the government into chaos no matter if they do it or not, that is not something either side should want.

Summing up this rant, I will never tell you to not look at every angle of a situation, nor would I tell you this person or that person is wrong and I’m right, but I will tell you to think about all angles, research everything, and make up your own mind. Sadly, with the situations today, I’ll also say to be prepared to defend yourself, have the tools and skills needed already in place, keep your head on a swivel, and be aware of everything, that is often the difference in a situation going your way or not.

Eyes open, and remember, God is in control!

Is the DNC as we knew it gone?

Every election since I’ve been able to understand what’s going on, I’ve watched Republicans and Democrats go at it hammer and tongs to win a Congressional seat, Governorship, or other office. In the 1980, as I’ve learned as I was 3 that year, Ronald Reagan asked “Are you better off now than four years ago,” and the country resoundingly said no. In 1984 Walter Mondale tried the same trick, and the country said yes, and re-elected Reagan. 1988 saw George HW Bush elected on Reagan’s coat tails, but in 1992, back to form, Bill Clinton pointed out little things, like Bush’s “read my lips, no new taxes” promise, then how Congress had raised taxes, even if Bush had signed the bill. He was charismatic, looking like a man you’d invite over for dinner and game night, and of course, won. This has always been, until now, how I’ve seen Democrats. They pander to every group, saying what they know that group wants to hear, no matter if they contradict themselves when with other groups, and the media ensures their lies and flip flopping are as invisible as possible.

2008 saw Barack Obama use the same tactics against McCain/Palin, saying what people wanted to hear, like “yes we can” or “hope and change,” how he’d make sure everyone had health care, talking about the Republican Party as if they were the most horrible bigots on the planet, just not in those words. His allies in the DNC and media, as always, hyped him more than any celebrity, ignoring their blatant attacks on Sarah Palin, as they claim to be the “party of women,” and Obama/Biden won. 2012 saw Romney/Ryan, with the same tactics, using Romney gaffes or Ryan’s youth against them, saying anything and everything, and they won again.

But 2016 changed everything, and Hillary Clinton, like Al Gore in 2000, lost the Electoral College and thus, the race. The 2000 election saw Al Gore, who is not known for being personable, yell and rant at people, making wild claims about “inventing the internet,” or how the world would end in 10 years if he wasn’t elected, and it didn’t. Then 2016 saw Hillary Clinton, the first female Presidential candidate, with a running mate who’s son is a criminal, who had said “what difference does it make” when speaking about her failure to help US diplomats when a US Embassy was attacked and those diplomats tortured and killed. Every statement she made demonized all who would not bow to her, showed her disdain for even those who would vote for her, or dodged questions when anyone dared to ask anything that would expose her.

Now, in 2020, former VP Joe Biden was declared the DNC nominee after almost no voting in the DNC primary, and Senator Kamala Harris, a woman who all but demanded he kiss her feet during debates early on, is his VP nominee. Biden won’t leave his home due to “fearing Coronavirus” while Harris pledges to raise taxes and return to paying off terrorists. Everything is about how “racist” or “sexist” Donald Trump is, and every statement is wrong. Donald Trump has never shown any racist tendencies, hires women to top positions in his administration, and has condemned violence, leaving the “media” to have to selectively edit his clips, leaving out where he directly said he was not referring to white supremacists when he said “good people” were on “both sides” of an issue. Many Democrats went on TV demanding he “denounce the white supremacists” ignoring that he had said he deplores violence from any side, until he denounced, by name, white supremacists and antifa. That was too far though, as antifa are DNC pawns.

So now we see Kenosha all but a pile of ash, Portland almost 90 days of constant riots, and only when polls start showing that Biden is being hurt by the DNC and Media LYING about the violence from liberals, do they say that Biden must denounce the riots and blame Trump. Honestly, at this point, I firmly expect to hear that it’s too dangerous due to Covid19 and the riots, to hold an election, so “The House of Representatives will do their duty and vote on behalf of the country,” and when that fails, there will be calls for Martial Law to “ensure the safety of all” by subjugating everyone. I don’t know that this will happen in my life, but make no mistake, the DNC are the party that read 1984 and took it as instructions, they read Fahrenheit 451 and agreed that banning any book they don’t personally approve of is to be done, and they will soon be the party that read Brave New World and will decide they will begin engineering citizens into castes, and keep those castes drugged.

Is this the country, the future, you want?

Thoughts on this Super Tuesday

We hear a lot today about how this or that is horrible, or racist, or sexist, or some other word that makes you hate it. What we don’t hear is why. Just over a month ago, we had a woman who couldn’t remember when, where, or who, but insisted that Justice Kavanaugh had groped, no wait, it was worse that than, wait, no, it was raped, her. Sitting Democrats actually said, officially, that the burden of proof is on the accused to prove their innocence, knowing that you can’t prove you didn’t “do something, somewhere, sometime 36 years ago.” Since then, at least one, if not more, of the allegations are now known to be false, with two of the other accusers referred to the Department of Justice after it’s learned they lied about their own allegations, yet we still have celebrities crying and demanding that everyone “believe women” even with more and more cases being brought to light showing that charges were lied about. I’ve personally heard people say that they don’t care if one person who was innocent has their life ruined, we just have to believe all rape accusations, while another has said that no accusation is false, if a woman says it, she is to be believed, no question. Why are we in a world where, after being accused of domestic abuse, Keith Ellison can run for Attorney General of his state, or after evidence comes to light proving he groped a girl against her will, Cory Booker is still a Senator, but an unprovable allegation against Kavanaugh is to be believed without question?

The answer, sadly, is very simple, control. The DNC has had power for years, 2009 to 2017 being where they held the White House, and they are now convinced they are the only people alive who know anything of value, and that they are to rule over the planet. When you listen to their rhetoric, they admit that doing this or that won’t do what they tell their supporters it will, but they’re going to do it anyway, and when it’s not enough, they’ll move further and further toward an Orwellian society. House candidate Ocasio-Cortez, wearing her expensive clothes everywhere she can, talks about being “for the common worker,” but when asked how she’ll pay the trillions needed for “Medicare for all” she literally said “just pay for it.” We know that this will bankrupt the country, because the people calling for it also want to let everyone into the country, meaning “Medicare for all” is now “free” healthcare for the world, paid for by US Citizens.

Abrams, in Georgia, has stated she wants to ban the AR-15 rifle, and has not commented about whether or not she’ll order confiscation, yet I’m all but screamed at every week that “nobody is going to come take your guns” by her supporters. We have mountains of records from the FBI and other sources, proving that “mass shooters” and other criminals do not prefer the AR-15, yet “journalists” are now all but marketing it as just that. More than one state actually ruled that the .223 caliber bullet is “too weak” to be humane when hunting, and I will admit that the .223 or even 5.56 round is not what I would pick to hunt with unless given no other options. There are so many calibers that are more powerful, yet we’re inundated with “the AR-15 is evil” on a daily basis. When Rep Scalise was shot, we didn’t hear much at all about the rifle used, just that it was a single person and “not political,” yet Sutherland Springs was hyped for weeks as “proof” that we need stricter gun control.

When we hear about the “need for common sense gun control,” it always stars with “universal background checks,” which ignores that there is already a federal law compelling a background check be performed for all firearms sales. I have personally purchased 5 firearms in my time since turning 21, and each one had a background check run, even after I received my license to carry, which states an even tougher background check had been done. “Universal background checks” is just code for universal registration, which I can tell you, was the first step to Hitler’s regime disarming the millions he later killed between 1939 and 1945. Abrams is now admitting she would ban, then confiscate, rifles that are not in any way “assault weapons” as we still have an official “assault weapons” ban, and semi-automatic firearms are not assault weapons. But this doesn’t matter. I can show a photo of a Mini-14 to any liberal and they’ll crow about how “that is just a hunting rifle” until you show them that you can literally take the magazine out of an AR-15 and use it, after which they either just storm off, or more likely, you’ll get a diatribe about how you “shouldn’t lie to people” or demands to know how you modified that hunting rifle to take a high capacity magazine from an assault rifle. The point of all of this, though, is to get a foot in the door. Once the AR is banned and all are confiscated, we’ll hear crying and moaning about how criminals are still killing, so we need to ban this or that, until eventually, we’re totally disarmed, and prime to be subjugated, and those who won’t comply will be “convicted” of treason and killed.

The election of 2016 shocked the media and DNC because Americans rejected their “we know best, just obey and all will be well” mantra. Of course we heard crying and gnashing of teeth about the Electoral College, but until they either openly defy the Constitution, or manage to dupe 38 states into giving up their representation to NYC, LA and very few other liberal mega-cities, it’s not going to work. The mid-terms of 2018 are primed to do that again, sending a true conservative majority to both houses, which is why we’re seeing attack after attack from the left. The horde storming to our border, which we have heard is very violent, and in some cases, heavily armed, but we’re told that it’s just “women and children fleeing oppression.” The video shows that 80% or more are military age men, the caravan was offered asylum by Mexico and it was turned down, and they’ve passed multiple locations where they could apply for asylum in the US, but they didn’t. They are simply ordering the United States to let them in, and they’ll decide later what they want next.

We have a simple choice every day, are we free people or are we subjects? Looking at Persia, Rome or ancient Britain (and to a degree the modern EU and UK) we know that subjects are treated as pawns. The UK has already jailed a man for exposing pedophile rapists, while a couple was told they must watch their infant son die slowly, as they had no rights to seek medical help outside the country. Huxley, Orwell, and others, warned us. We are barreling toward hell on earth, and sadly, millions of people have accepted the lie that they will be happy under a tyrant’s boot. We must never give up, never stop fighting to wake those people up to the truth that once a tyrant has power, only a bloody war can end that, and it often doesn’t end well. So, are you a subject, or a citizen?

Thursday Thoughts

For those who follow me here or just on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve sounded like a broken record pretty much since Trump was inaugurated in 2017, but that’s not just me, it’s the simple fact that nothing new is happening to talk about. Sure, the details of each story are slightly different, but it’s always “white people are evil,” or “tax cuts for the rich,” or “Republicans hate immigrants,” lather, rinse, repeat. Today isn’t much different. We have Alinksy 101 on full display, and the left doesn’t care that even people in their own corner are calling them out.

Rep. Steve King, while in Austria, met with at least one Jewish person, and more than one member of the LGBTQ community, but the biggest headlines on the liberal circuit are that he met with Nazis. We know, from texts written by Alinsky, who liberals love, that one of the biggest rules is to accuse your enemy of what you are guilty of, and this is a very common thing these days. Anyone who doesn’t smile at being taxed more an more, who doesn’t praise paying for everyone else, and who doesn’t welcome criminals into their bedroom, is a Nazi. Anyone who points out that the Nazi party was actually the national socialist party, and that Hitler was definitely not a conservative, but a socialist, is all but literally stamped with I AM HITLER on their forehead. If you can’t win an argument, liberals know that you can “win” by ending it, and with the media in their pockets, they know that the actual video won’t be shown, only carefully edited video to support their lies. This story only goes further, by saying a US official “went to Austria to meet Nazis” rather than the truth, they are working to influence the midterms, and will decry the “obvious racism and hate” if they are unable to.

Imagine what would have happened in 2008 if anyone had even suggested a “resistance” be formed against Barack Obama? Ignoring that they would be accused of being the new arm of the KKK, you would have heard the media demanding that everyone must at least respect the office of President, then you at least treat the man in it with respect. But in January of 2017, all of that changed. You see, a man every Democrat in the country knew, envied, and did all they could to be in his good books to get money from him, ran as a Republican and beat Hillary Clinton. We have pictures of Trump with Sharpton, the Clintons, Kathy Griffin, and far more people than I can remember right now, all of whom now call him the most vile racist on the planet. There are actual movements to “become ungovernable” as if to suggest “if we burn the country down, we’ll be in charge.”

There’s only one problem, the people demanding power be handed to them, are the same ones who now openly tell the country they will raise taxes to beyond what they were before the recent tax cuts, they will disarm everyone, and they will open the borders. When their message of “I’ll make you poor, disarm you, then move killers into your neighborhood” doesn’t work, they move to “give me my way or I’ll personally kill you.” We have celebrities right and left, once again, saying they’ll leave the country, or that “Hollywood will go on strike” or that not paying to watch athletes disrespect you is racist, and now, James Cromwell openly said that if the DNC doesn’t win control of Congress, there will be “blood in the streets.” We’ve hit the end of their line, we’re now hearing “we will kill you if you do not obey us.” Yet, the very people saying all of this hate guns, while those they demand obedience from not only don’t, but we’re well trained. They dream of a new civil war, when we all know that the vast majority (90% or more) of law enforcement and military personnel will stand against the liberals. I’ve said for a while the next war will see a beginning with “we don’t have guns, and hate them, so you have to give us people to fight for us, or give up your guns so it’s fair” followed by crying from prison about how it’s not fair that we wouldn’t hand them everything.

What’s amazing through all of this is the willful ignorance and blindness, we never see anyone do anything but keep trying what doesn’t work. ABC executives watched as Kaepernick took a knee, then doubled and tripled down on his “I’m protesting the oppression of making millions to play a game” mantra until he was all but driven out of the country. They watched NFL ratings dive lower and lower every week until attendance and viewership hit an all time low, and they watched as liberal after liberal tweeted the most offensive and horrible things aimed at conservatives, as “journalists” accused conservatives of being the reason they were beaten badly by masked thugs, and they ignored it all. Last year, Roseanne Barr tweeted that Valerie Jarrett looked like the love child of Planet of the Apes and ISIS. Jarrett is Iranian, not black, yet Roseanne was canceled and all but forced off the planet for her “racism.” She apologized sincerely, but that wasn’t enough, so ABC’s writers killed her character off and the show was renamed. Now, barely into the new show’s first season, ratings are so low, ABC is only ordering one more show, yet somehow I can easily see something coming out about the “evil bigots who refused to watch because Roseanne was fired are responsible for jobs lost” or some other BS about how it’s our fault for not praising being insulted.

Personally, I like the theory I saw earlier, although I don’t see Roseanne doing more than laughing in the face of whoever tries this, where we see Dan wake up in a cold sweat in the sofa or elsewhere that isn’t the bedroom. One of the others asks what’s wrong and he replies he dreamed Roseanne died, and we fade to black hearing her laugh. It would be poetic justice that they had to crawl back to her just to get the show to end well, and even more poetic to see her laugh in their faces.

Moving on, we get almost daily cries of “crumbs” or “tax scam” or “tax cuts for the rich” from the left, and honestly I’m surprised every day that people who all got a tax cut will go along with them. Pelosi has a net worth that should be impossible for a woman making less than $200K a year for her time in Congress, yet this isn’t questioned. Waters has a $4M+ home, outside her district, and nobody bats an eye. But the GOP passed a tax cut that led to bonuses, lower taxes, hiring more people, expanding the economy and far more, and the DNC, like the rabid mutt it is, latched on and locked their jaw onto the “we will undo the tax scam” and they can’t understand how saying “I’ll raise your taxes” isn’t working.

Do you need any more proof than what’s coming from the DNC and their followers that they are racist and sexist almost exclusively? When you have people run out of restaurants, attacked in the streets, and far worse, how can there be any question that they are the party of Orwellian control? The image above shows this perfectly. In the 1960’s, Alabama was ordered to integrate their schools, with the governor blocking the door to prevent this from happening until forced by a federalized National Guard to move. Republicans are the party that fought the Civil War, and won, to end slavery. Republicans are the party that ended “separate but equal,” yet Democrats are seen as paragons of virtue as they assault and insult anyone they can, using any and all racist and sexist options they can find.

This one is a bit more involved, and more dangerous for sure. This man was turned away from a polling place for wearing a Trump/Pence 16 t-shirt, despite the law saying only candidates on the ballot having their names on clothing or the like are not allowed. He fought this, and won, and you just know there’s a Democrat wondering how to find and “lose” his ballot. I understand if I’m not allowed to wear a #CruzCrew shirt to vote here in TX, because he’s on the ballot, and there are many people who, unfortunately, will see a name and because it’s familiar (they saw it most recently elsewhere) will vote for that person. Everyone should vote only for those you have listened to, researched, and know how they will work for you. This was not a case like this. It’s the very same as wearing a Reagan/Bush’80 shirt to vote this year and someone saying “you can’t wear that shirt as it has candidates’ names on it.” The candidates ran 28 years ago, one is now dead, the other is in such ill health he won’t be around too much longer. The worker knew what they were doing, and they wanted to stop conservatives voting in hopes that their liberal candidate wins. This is the same as those who, in a few stories, have told people there are no paper ballots when someone reports that a machine will not allow voting for anyone but one candidate, which is to say “well, I guess that’s who you’re voting for,” when they must provide for circumstances where the machines are not usable. Liberals know they are losing, so their cheating is only getting worse every day.

Moving forward, I get a bit more upset when I see stories/segments on this topic. We know, from sources in Guatemala and Mexico, that this caravan is violent, carrying disease, and more than 80% male. Yet people like Shepherd Smith or Don Lemon keep repeating that to even suggest they aren’t all women and children, just fleeing war and death, who just need us to open our hearts (despite video proof they’re wrong) is tantamount to be Goering and running Auschwitz. The Mexican Ambassador to the U.S. has stated they are armed and dangerous. We know that diseases that we “wiped out” are still possible, because they were caused by natural things, and diseases like Smallpox or Leprosy can, and do, still happen in the third world. Yet, this is ignored, people saying they are carrying diseases are mocked, and when the caravan gets here, and they are shown to have these diseases, the people who were correct will be derided as “not having done enough because we should have had doctors waiting” or some other BS.

To end on a bit of a different note, two actually. First, it seems Babs isn’t happy that she’s a mental toddler unable to accept that the world isn’t obligated to obey her. She ranted in 2016 about how evil Donald Trump was, despite loving him when he was “just a Billionaire.” She demanded the Electoral College (established by the Constitution, and thus, requiring an amendment to change it) “just be ignored,” she cried about racism, sexism, bigotry, etc, when that didn’t happen. She said she was moving, but didn’t. Well now, she’s apparently decided she’s going to eat very fattening foods and blame Trump because he won’t ignore the Constitution and voters and “just give Hillary power,” so once again she’s threatening to leave the country. So, I will once again submit my suggestion, ANYONE, celebrity or not, who leaves the country permanently due to their candidate not winning the election has their citizenship stripped away, all countries are told to confiscate the passport after the person arrives, and they’re not allowed back, EVER! What do you say?

Society has changed, and not for the better

Just 40 years ago, virtually everywhere, if you asked a question of a stranger you were answered, even if the answer was “I don’t know,” if you had your hands full, people held doors for you, or thanked you if you did that for them, drivers allowed others into a lane, Police were smiled at, children were sent to play while adults talked and if they got back soon, they didn’t take over the spotlight. TV was about just the facts news, entertainment, and maybe late at night you were sold junk, or saw Church services on Sundays. People went about their lives, helped others where they could, spent time with family and friends, and in general, enjoyed their life. This is not the case today, sadly, as many have decided they are the center of the universe, able to control and punish anyone for any imagined slight. Virtually every corner of life has been taken over by this attitude, from the retail or food service world, to education, to corporate America, even professional sports and entertainment. We are so tied up in “I know the best way to do….” that we never even consider pausing to ask if that may not be true.

Consider when you call Customer Service now versus even 20 years ago, how you react at a restaurant when told something you don’t like, now versus just 20 years ago, retail now versus then, your general attitude most days. In the 80’s and 90’s would you ever have seen someone sue a restaurant for not having an item that they did not pay for? Not too long ago an attorney went to Our Place, a local DFW restaurant that regularly advertises their soups as part of lunch, but they had run out due to a busy day. He did not eat, and thus did not pay, yet he sent them a bill for “his time” in writing a letter threatening a false advertising lawsuit because they ran out of an item. I worked at two different sit down restaurants and two different pizza places, one delivery and dine in, one just delivery. All of them ran out of something at one point or another, including a pizza delivery place that ran out of pizza dough, on a weekend! Yes, within an hour we had donations from virtually every other store within 20 miles and drivers were dispatched to pick those up, but it happens, and this guy threatened to sue! I can remember, as a child, going to restaurants where I had ONE ITEM I liked, and more than once I heard “I’m sorry, we’re out.” My parents were very clear I would pick something else, eat it all, and not make a scene, but today if the waiter isn’t psychic and ensures you get what you want, people must have their lives ruined.

Where did we change that selfishness became the most prevalent trait in humans? I was told, many times in my childhood and teen years, by my Dad “go grab that door” especially where there were multiple doors, and then I, or he and I, would hold the door for multiple people, several times at restaurants we would just find the others we were with already seated and join them, yet just about a year or so ago, I held the door at a convenience store, for 8 or 9 people, but the last one started berating me about how “she doesn’t need a man to open doors for her.” I’ll admit I was tired and not in the best mood, but I feel I handled it well, as I just said “OK” and entered, letting it close. She then followed me in, ranting about my being rude and “slamming the door in her face,” a feat I assure you as the door opened inside out, meaning she’d need to be inside to have it slam in her face. I lost my patience there, leaned in and simply told her she cannot berate me for holding the door then also for honoring her demand that I not do that. She sputtered and I continued with “you may not have all ways applied to you, you get to pick one, you chose for me to not hold the door when you got angry, live with your choice.” I left after that, and yes, I could have handled it better, but it’s every day now.

Customer Service has never been a coveted job, save where you have great pay and/or benefits, such as working for an airline where you can travel almost free, or companies that pay above the norm to ensure they get the crème de la crème and keep them. But in just one day I need more than two hands to count the instances where I literally repeat myself at least 4 times, at times I’ve literally said “I have tested the steps above, but I am not allowed to edit your live server, so if you just use those steps it will solve your issue” only to be told if you don’t know just admit it, then a complaint filed. If it weren’t for companies recording EVERYTHING these days, I’d have been reprimanded for “being rude and refusing to even try to help,” rather, the client was told exactly what I’d said and emailed the proof, after which she actually said I’d faked it, and tried to demand I be fired for telling her how to resolve her issue.

We are in a rocket fuel powered handcart to hell people, and if we don’t kill the engine, hit the brakes and turn around, we will arrive and trust me, the world where customers can get you fired for doing your job, for literally begging them to just do what you know will work and thus what will resolve their issue, because they refuse to listen, well, trust me, no one will like that world. The people calling will not like getting any help for fear of being fired for helping them, the agents/cashiers/waiters won’t like it because they’ll be so scared serving someone breakfast, when they ordered breakfast, will get their fired for not knowing they actually wanted a beer and pizza but didn’t want to say it, and at the end, no one will be working, and we will be back in the stone age, is that what you want? At this point, I could happily move to cave in the Rockies, fish and hunt for my food, burn branches to keep warm and dry, or to cook, and never need money or tech ever again, but I know the vast majority of the planet are so unprepared, they’d starve in weeks, while bemoaning the “obvious hateful and spiteful attitudes of the world that they won’t just do their jobs and serve them” while ignoring they are the very cause of the collapse killing them.

At this point, honestly, I say we split the planet, give the crybabies and SJW’s and so on the eastern hemisphere and the rest of the people take the western. That gives the “I have rights” crowd more land, and they have a lot of people to spread out so no one offends anyone else, right? Just make sure travel is heavily controlled so they never again darken the door of the other side. Something tells me if we did that, within a few months we’d be ordered to send them food, money, technology, people to run their countries, and they would be required to do it for free and never complain. Even holding a signed contract stating they cannot do that, ever, they would cry about “it’s not fair” that we “just won’t help them any at all,” ignoring that they would not only not help, they’d happily take from anyone and everyone to satisfy their mere desires. So the question is now very simple, where will we end up, and how soon?

YOU’RE JUST A BOT, SHUT UP!

The election of 2016 saw a new creation in the ongoing screaming match between liberals and conservatives, the emergence of bots being blamed for all woes. A bot, in the simplest terms, is a bit of programming which performs generic, simple, and repetitive actions. These aren’t a new idea either, it’s just the execution that has changed over the last few decades. My generation, by virtue of being born in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, have quite literally grown up using computers. In the 1908’s I created batch files, most of them just to prove I could, as they would grab a MIDI and play it, or ask a question and stop. In the 1990’s, Microsoft launched Windows Operating system, which eventually included a StartUp folder. Any software placed there would be opened as soon as the machine was powered on, another use of this idea, a simple task happening automatically. In the years after I graduated High School, working for a one hour photo lab, I had my computer set to launch the various programs I needed to use to balance my chemistry, check exposure of negatives and prints to balance, before opening, so I produced good quality photos.

In a sense, batch files, and later, bots, were the beginning of A.I., as once programmed, they perform their jobs every time until stopped or changed. The election of 2016 however, saw a major expanse of their use, on all sides of every issue. Blogs would use them to spider the internet for articles with certain topics and repost them, or tweet them, or share on Facebook. Other accounts would watch for social media posts about specific topics, then reply to them or share or re-tweet them with either supporting or opposing verbiage added. The mainstream media likely uses this idea in some ways too, as it makes sense for the tickers and such playing at the bottom of their channel. Why have a person manually type in headlines when a batch file or bot can simply gather headlines and put them into another file, then send it on to be used. This is, simply put, the penultimate bias free writer. There is no consideration of the message or real desire involved, it’s simply “if I find this, do that,” lather, rinse, repeat.

I personally stopped at the Start Up idea, as I only learned HTML in the 90’s, and no other languages, but I’ve taken advantage of these on some websites where I could choose topics to have stories e-mailed to me, so I don’t need to scroll through multiple websites to find the stories I want to read, but today, the issue has become one that is leading us to a dangerous end. If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know I’ve gone live several times, that alone making it pretty easy to see I’m not A.I. of any sort, yet I’m regularly called a bot when I oppose the liberal/socialist end game, as if that instantly removes my right to speak out on any topic. In actuality, that is the new goal of the “you’re just a bot” movement, silencing all opposition.

The methods may be new, as certainly computing and such are very new in the span of history, but the premise is much older, going back almost to the dawn of man on this planet, dehumanization. If your opponent isn’t human, you can do far more to them and not feel bad. Roman slaves were not considered human, allowing them to be killed for any infraction. Jews were called rats or cockroaches by the nazi regime, making it almost easy for the soldiers to carry out their orders, as they were conditioned to see their targets as not human. Even today this continues, South Africa is working to dehumanize white residents, so they can be killed and their land stolen, and Planned Parenthood spends millions each year to advance their message that the fetus is “just a clump of cells” so removing it isn’t murder, despite numerous medical professionals, experts in their field, have weighed in on this stating that the baby feels pain as early as 12 to 20 weeks. One woman even stated the baby doesn’t scream because she transects the vocal chords first, ensuring no screams, as she apparently learned the baby screams in pain when being dismembered.

The danger comes in now, though, as the movement is not stopping online, but slowly encroaching on real life. People are being doxxed, that is having their personal information published against their will, and used to make their lives a living hell, have them or their family fired, and so much more. SWATTING is a common practice among younger people where they will report a crime, normally a hostage situation or suicidal person at someone’s home to get the Police to respond, sometimes just to get someone out of a video game. How long, then, will it be before we see a court case where someone is on trial for murder, defend themselves with the “they were just a bot, so it wasn’t murder” idea?

Dehumanization is dangerous, when it comes to the military, those training the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen, are very careful to not go to far, as of course they must train these men and women to fight, and if necessary, kill their enemies, but if not done properly, once home from service, the new civilian may have severe issues adjusting, which is why they are so careful, and why there are organizations set up solely to help those coming home adjust successfully.

In just the short time since the election of Donald Trump to the Presidency, we’ve seen people assaulted over inviting a speaker to a private event at U.C. Berkeley, Charlottesville saw people run over for not supporting the removal of a monument because it was a reminder of the Civil War, and while a dark time in our past, it should be remembered, taught about, and more, to ensure we do not repeat it.

How long until we go from fist fights to shootings over a small group not liking that they can’t order a government around? When will the first person be murdered because they don’t join in and obey a mob demanding an entire segment of the citizenry be forcibly silenced? When will the first politician declare all votes against them were “cast by bots, and obviously are invalid” and be allowed to claim a victory by simply demanding it?

Orwell, Huxley, Bradbury, and more have warned us about the move toward tyranny, and how it will be made to look so wonderful we will gladly hand over all of our rights. Will the next century see “Flyover America” visited by the coastal elites who want to see a “savage reservation” before returning for a Soma Vacation? Will we see a second American Civil War over the “right to be right?” We have people now who are convinced you cannot even walk away from them when insulted, the “Oh, we are having this conversation” types. I’ve personally had to put one into a submission hold until a Police Officer got to me to avoid being assaulted for the “crime of walking away.” When will the first murder happen because someone “walked away and denied someone their right to be listened to?”

We’re in a jet propelled handcart headed for hell, and may be past the point of no return, but people are waking up, realizing that no one has rights others don’t, I just hope enough people do, and maybe we can stave off disaster for a few more years, or decades even.

Will you take the Red Pill, or the Blue Pill?

England, 1932, Aldous Huxley’s book, Brave New World, was first published, showing the world a future where freedom was a drug induced daydream, and humans little more than a science experiment. Engineered in laboratories, each caste was perfectly created for the job they would hold in society, from the Alphas who ran the offices and reported only to Controllers, to the Beta, Gamma and Epsilon castes, who never questioned why their lot in life was merely to serve those above them. In a reverse of Hitler’s dream of eugenics, humans were no longer terminated for defects, rather defects were carefully controlled, so as to keep the lower castes in their place. The traditional family unit demonized so far that the words Mother and Father were tantamount to the worst swear words known to mankind.

After being decanted, the children were subjected to social conditioning to ensure they would not buck the system. Toddlers were shown beautiful flowers or colorful books, only to be shocked when they reached for them, reinforcing the idea that these things were evil and to be shunned. From the earliest age possible, lessons would be spoken to them as they slept, enforcing the idea that they loved their caste, that they would be miserable in a higher, or any other, caste, so as to ensure they would never try to break the mold, resulting in a world where, despite the tyrannical rule, people truly believed they were free, and were happy. Savages existed still, however, on reservations, where men and women would have children the traditional way, raising them as a family, teaching them morality and values from their religions, only to be shunned by the civilized people.

Scotland, 1945, the second World War would end this year, and Animal Farm would show a vision from Orwell, of what might have been had the Axis powers not fallen. Farm animals, left by the farmer to fend for themselves, form a society and begin to take on roles they had never held before. At first, all worked, all were fed equally, all were housed and allowed to live equally, but it would not last. The pigs, representing the ruling elite, would soon come to author more and more rules, which on paper would hold all animals equal, but as seen in socialist and communist countries time and time again, they would not feel obligated to follow their own rules. By the end, the one rule stated All Animals are Equal, Some Animals are More Equal than Others, with the pigs ultimately facing the farmers on their return, both stunned, while the other animals languished and died under the tyrant rule of the pigs who took control in the vacuum.

Scotland, 1949, George Orwell, in failing health, finished and published 1984, another cautionary tale, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. Rather than people controlled by drugs and endless distractions, Orwell’s future saw them controlled by a brutal tyrant regime. Slogans like War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength, would reinforce that mankind was always meant to serve the powerful, either by choice or by subjugation. Children encouraged to inform on family if they broke even the slightest rule, police free to do as they pleased, regardless of any law or infraction, government officials free from all laws they passed to control the masses. Brutal rule to ensure society, and the status quo, continued without change, without those in power ever having to fear they would lose their power.

Prior to any of these works being published, 1929 saw the crash of Wall Street, and the beginning of a depression the world had not seen the likes of. Having just taken office, Herbert Hoover would watch as men who had fought in World War I, and now were out of work only a short time later, would set up tent cities, or Hoovervilles, Americans left their homes to go west seeking work, some finding pay of a penny or less for a task, while their families held together as best they could. Movies such as The Grapes of Wrath showing children begging total strangers for even a spoonful of their evening meal, would tattoo on the mind and consciousness of Americans just how bad things were, and could be again without care being taken.

1933 saw the inauguration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and would herald a change in the United States, moving toward the end of the days of hunger. Over the course of his first year in office, FDR would oversee the creation of the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Civil Works Administration, banking regulation changes, and ultimately, the change in direction which would have the U.S. start back to where she was just after World War I. Men would find work paying far more than any job in the last 4 years, industry would start to return and revitalize cities, families no longer worried that they would not eat for more than a day, but at what cost. The expansion of government in that year saw control move to a level never seen in the U.S. before. Government, either Federal or State, would employ more people than ever before, some given menial tasks just to have a job, while others would provide services badly needed, such as building roads, or repairing other infrastructure.

Just two years later, 1935 would witness the penultimate rise to power of Adolf Hitler in Germany, starting with Universal Firearms Registration. His regime would boast that health care was available to more people than ever before, habits like smoking were now illegal, education was growing, and towns were safer for his work. The world, having only two decades earlier fought a bloody war, watched as they saw the country they’d been fighting began to rally back, not seeing all of the signs that war would be at their door again very soon. Under FDR, the U.S. trundled along, happily watching as men went back to work, industries thought gone once again started to boom and, ultimately, they believed the world was on a path to peace and prosperity.

The experiment with Prohibition showed the Government that the common man would not be overtly controlled so easily, but this showed them not only that they couldn’t seize total control, but rather that control needed to be stealthy and subtle to work. By 1939, Germany had left the League of Nations, treaties had been broken, new treaties signed, and on September 1, 1939, Germany invades Poland, their path through Belgium drawing Great Britain into the war. Roosevelt, knowing the American people were still very close to a bloody war, remained an isolationist, watching as Europe and Asia descended into the hell that is open warfare. By 1940, Roosevelt would send war goods to Britain, but remained steadfast in his stance that America would not fight in this war, holding that position until December 7, 1941, when Japan would attack Pearl Harbor, resulting in the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and World War 2 officially starting for the United States.

June 1944 saw the invasion of France on D-Day, with Utah and Omaha beaches the focal point of the world’s attention, and 1945 would see the end of fighting in Europe, with France liberated, and Germany once again, sanctioned for their part in a world war. Post War Europe, unlike after World War I, saw Germany divided into two nations, East Germany ruled by the Soviet Union, and West Germany, a mostly free state under mostly self rule, with the United Nations, the replacement for the League of Nations, watching both new nations very closely. Hitler, having worked as hard as he did to eliminate Europeans of Jewish descent, also saw something the world had not seen in some time, the Nation of Israel officially recognized in 1948, something which would cause strife for decades. The 1950’s saw the Korean War escalate, the 1960’s and early 1970’s the Vietnam Conflict, the 1980’s Grenada, the 1990’s Desert Storm, in 2001 the destruction of the World Trade Center would see war return to the Middle East, where it would continue to the current day as of this writing.

Another change, though, was society at home during the 1950’s and 1960’s. During World War I, women took on new roles while men were drafted or volunteered for the Military, just as in World War II, only to return home to their families, or to other careers, when the war ended and the returning men re-entered the work force. The change, would begin here. Children born too early for World War II and some too late for Korea’s draft, were now able to watch in more detail, starting with photos in newspapers and magazines, then on Television in the latter part of the 1950’s and again in the 1960’s with Vietnam. War had been an abstract, only those who had a loved one return in a pine box, or grievously injured, knowing the true cost so many paid.

December of 1955, in Montgomery Alabama, saw a woman refuse to move seats on a bus, because a white passenger wanted her seat. The powder keg of equal rights had been lit, by a woman who simply was tired of giving in. Americans watched as laws proclaiming separate but equal were proven lies, as men and women who, solely based on skin color, were seen as second class citizens, said enough was enough, and soon, the movement would shake the country’s idea of equality to it’s core. From Governor Wallace having to be moved by Federalized National Guardsmen, to allow a young black woman to enter a school, to protests led by the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Junior, to riots and protests resulting in use of force far beyond what had been seen before, Americans once again began to see the world in a new light.

Movements for equality, for peace when a tyrant rises, for better treatment of certain people, are not new to the world, just as they weren’t new in the 1950’s and 1960’s. What was new in that time, was the media. Radio was still not an old device in this era, but it was dominated by people taught to just read the news, not to comment and theorize. The Who, What, When and Where, were all people got, the Why was for each listener to think on as an individual. Hollywood had, for the most part, been the place of fantasy, of spaghetti westerns, and people were happy as they could escape for a time without being preached to about this cause of that, but this would soon change. Other mediums were coming into their own, challenging the status quo, and setting the stage for a world unlike that which had been seen before.

1938, Action Comics launched something the world had never seen, a true super hero. Superman, a child from another world, sent to Earth to survive his home planet’s destruction, had powers unlike anyone else. Faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, the world saw a super hero rise to challenge evil in a way they never imagined. 1940 would se Captain Steven Rogers become Captain America, stepping onto the world stage to challenge Hitler, with his first cover in December 1940 showing him landing a blow to Hitler’s jaw, and side by side with Superman, launching young boys into the world of super heroes and daring do, where good would always triumph over evil, and justice would be served. By the 1970’s the world of Comic Book Heroes would have expanded so far that heroes no longer worked alone, but in groups, to tackle larger and larger issues. Villains and their henchmen were more dangerous, but again, good always won.

Alongside the comic book heroes, TV introduced new ideals as well. Where the children of the 1950’s had Little Orphan Annie on the radio, Lassie or Flipper on TV, and a few comics, children in the 1970’s had the Dukes of Hazzard, professional wrestling, more soap operas than ever before, and something totally new to television, PBS, with offerings like Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers, or The Joy Of Painting, where you weren’t merely entertained, but educated as well. Schoolhouse Rock showed how a bill becomes a law, and other lessons, The Electric Company used new techniques for their graphics, and just like that, a generation of children would no longer be outside until their parents dragged them into get washed up for supper, but who would plan their playtime to coincide with their must watch programs.

Mr. Rogers gave us a world of make believe, lessons taught in a gentle and kind way, even ensuring that a blind girl wouldn’t worry about his fish by making sure to say it was time to feed them each day. Sesame Street showed a very diverse world, with monsters, garbage dwelling grouches, birds, and other creatures living and learning along side children and adults from all backgrounds. So many new ideas brought into one medium that children were inundated with them by the time they started Kindergarten. This generation would eventually learn of the Civil Rights movement, but rarely thought twice about what color their neighbor was, or why they weren’t in another class. Rather, a new class of student to be segregated emerged, Special Education, those with learning disabilities on such a wide scale, were segregated, often taught so slowly that by the time they were to graduate High School, they might be at a middle school level of education.

Education had begun changing in the 1970’s, with a generation of children growing up watching war as never seen before, watching Hollywood celebrities protest violence, while their movies and TV shows glorified vigilantes and criminals, even seeing them side with the very people the U.S. Military was fighting, entered the education field and began to teach history, literature, and other subjects in ways that not only distorted, but blatantly re-wrote history. The American Revolution was no longer a result of colonists wanting representation in how they were taxed, but because slave owning white men didn’t want to pay taxes, which of course ignores that the new nation taxed it’s new citizens. Slavery was purely an American issue, where white men didn’t want to give up their free labor, meaning the roots of slavery, those being African tribes selling their neighbors to both profit and take their land, Europeans being the buyers, and that nations to this day still allow slavery, were ignored.

Students until this point had grown up with parents enforcing hard work pays off, removing privileges from students who were failing a subject so they had time to study, employers cutting hours when a student’s work began to flag, only to see a change happen, where teachers were encouraged by coaches and other extra-curricular sponsors to make sure students passed, so as not to hurt a source of income for the school. By the time this came to light and schools stopped the practice, parents no longer held the student responsible, but questioned the teacher as to why they were failing their child. Discipline had moved from a time when a disobedient student was paddled, only to have the parent repeat that punishment, to a time when the student was given time out, not only from their peers, but from the lessons.

Manipulation became a way of life at an early age, with boys complaining the lady teacher didn’t like boys, white teachers didn’t like minorities, coaches cut people for frivolous reasons, until we moved into a time when everyone makes the team, those who win too often are excluded to give everyone a chance, and the world again began to change. In a move reminiscent of the 1940’s and 1950’s, books were removed for being too provocative, until books like To Kill A Mockingbird are removed for showing racism in the wrong way while books like Fifty Shades of Grey are sitting in public school libraries still. Students are no longer exposed to the darker side of humanity’s past, and thus, no longer shown how mankind will rise to defeat tyrants and despots, resulting in students believing the very people who stood against tyranny were themselves tyrants.

Hollywood, naturally, began to change at this time as well. In the 1980’s, a movie like Blue Thunder, where a scene shows a woman’s bare breasts for a few seconds, were rated R, and only grudgingly as opposed to X, or just not made. Television programs which would discuss adult themes were closely regulated, news programs were careful in how they spoke of things, so as to ensure they were clean in the eyes of the FCC. Just a decade later, and the 1990’s saw prime time programs on major networks, where all but the act of intercourse was shown. Teenage characters were shown wearing less than most people would wear when swimming as every day attire, and romantically involved in relationships most adults remembered not knowing about until late in High School, or possibly college, and it only moved forward from there, to modern day entertainment, where sex sells, and people are shocked at how many of the celebrities they looked up to, who are now being shown to be predators that crowds would have formed mobs to hunt down only 20 or 30 years previously.

2016 will be remembered either as the year the world began to wake up to the programming we were all subject to for 40+ years, or the year the world fully took the blue pill, and stayed in Wonderland. The election of Donald Trump, something the mainstream media said point blank was impossible, will be remembered either as the year Americans retook their power as The People, or as the year the United States gave up all freedom to tyrants. Following this election, young people rioted in the streets, destroying property, because they could not force a country to undo an election and install someone who lost. Others wailed in the streets, returning a year later to do so again, to protest. States began enacting policies that only ten years ago would be so ludicrous as to oust all in power, protecting people who entered the country illegally, many who went on to commit heinous crimes. Monuments to history, albeit a dark time in our history, were torn down by mobs who went unpunished, cities raced to remove others, to prevent just that from happening again, while many people begged for common sense, for us to not hide our history, but keep it so we may learn from it. All of this leads directly to the situation facing the American People today.

February 2018 saw an active shooter situation in Parkland Florida, where Sheriff’s Deputies were ordered not to enter an engage, where S.W.A.T. Officers who defied those orders were fired, and all but that night, students were deputized by the mainstream media to demand Americans disarm. Quotes like no one wants to face a shooter with an AR-15 were thrown around, while case after case from other parts of the country show people doing just that, and more. Law Enforcement agencies all over the country decried the cowardly actions of the Deputies in Parkland, sitting outside while a shooter was in a school, which 28 years previously was made a gun free zone by a bill sponsored by then Senator Joseph Biden. Suggestions that school districts allow those paying taxes to them to choose if teachers may choose to be armed are decried as forcing teachers who have no training to be armed, making things worse. Districts which already allowed this, and thus are far safer, are ignored, or ridiculed. The very people screaming about how evil the AR-15 is, who yell at Americans we don’t want to take your guns, are then seen marching demanding the repeal of the Second Amendment, carrying signs insulting gun owners, and others with signs blatantly saying they will pry them from your cold, dead hands.

We are at a tipping point, books/movies like Ready Player One show a world where people’s lives are so horrible they spend all the time they can in virtual reality, only to go into so much debt they literally become slaves until they die. Where a corporation doesn’t flinch at killing hundreds to stop anyone from taking away their opportunity to lock in total control over society. Movies like Equilibrium show a world where people are drugged to remove all emotion, where from a very early age they are indoctrinated to fear emotion so much they willingly take the required drugs, and those who don’t are killed. Movie after movie after TV show after TV show shows us exactly what Huxley and Orwell warned us about all those decades ago, yet we seem to be pouring rocket fuel into our handcart, ready to fly full speed into a world where we are subjugated, and made to like it. Those speaking out, begging society to step back are beaten to a pulp and called nazi, by those using the very tactics the nazis used, because history is no longer taught. Those begging people not to dive head first into a world where they will be drugged into mental oblivion are berated for denying them the right to choose, only to them be demonized for not stopping someone from going to far.

We are at the tipping point, where countries invite those who openly call for the destruction of all who do not bow and serve them, to do just that. We are watching the world burn, watching the tyrants start solidifying their power, so the question is very simple. Will you take the red pill or blue pill? Will you march to your destruction, going silently into the good night, or will you step back, will you realize that We The People have the true power? Will you rise up against those who would be your oppressors, or will you place your head on the chopping block? Only you can choose, I just hope it isn’t too late.

It’s been just over 20 years, and we’re nearly completely doomed

I turn 41 this year, meaning I’m now 23 years post High School, although only 8 post College due to being “too smart for my own good” in the mid-1990’s. I can remember not only being taught civics, forced to debate counter to my beliefs, hearing about WWII from those who fought and survivors of the nazi regime, and no matter GOP or DNC, my classmates are generally well adjusted adults. We don’t always agree on politics, but we don’t shout each other down and demand obedience.

Today, however, we have people graduating High School and College, so assured of their own superior intellect, they can’t accept that they aren’t given total and complete control over every aspect of life on the planet. We watched in the 80’s and 90’s as the USSR and all their subject nations languished in poverty until they finally fell, yet students today, watching the same thing happen in Venezuela, defend communism so vehemently that to disagree with them is treated as an attempt on their life!

Starting in 1991, while I was still in a Middle School building, I was earning credits for my high school graduation. Ninth grade English Lit saw us reading Animal Farm, 10th grade was 1984, then Brave New World was over the final two years, as the language from 1930’s Britain was a bit difficult to get through for us, so we had a bit longer. Yes, there were students who actually argued for each of the societal models we read about, but they were a vast minority.

Brave New World – Society in the 1930’s is in a depression, but Henry Ford’s assembly line would revolutionize the manufacturing world, and beyond. Just 700 or so years AF (after Ford) all life outside of “savage reservations” is engineered in a lab. Embryos are carefully controlled, not only to eradicate disease, but to stunt mental or physical development, creating a caste system. Controllers rule the world, the Alpha Plus and Alpha caste below them, with Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon below them. Each caste is programmed from birth either via aversion conditioning or sleep programming. Babies are shown flowers or colorful books, only to be shocked when they reach for them, toddlers and up have programming played to them as they sleep, so even the most subjugated of people actually defend their place in the world. Sex is common place, birth control is mandatory, and abortions required if any pregnancy occurs. Drugs are used to keep people docile, entertainment is plentiful, and in general, people are so doped up and entertained, they would fight to remain slaves to the controllers.

1984 – Written almost 20 years after Brave New World by George Orwell, Huxley’s nightmare vision of the future is turned on it’s ear. Rather than the over entertained, programmed from birth, doped out of their mind people, Orwell saw a world where a global police state comes to be. Phrases similar to the “See Something, Say Something” campaign of a few years back are common, children are encouraged to inform on their families, and fear rather than blind ignorance to subjugation and tyranny rules the world. Yet again, those running the show are above all people in more than their job, they live separate lives. As in Brave New World, the rules don’t apply to the controllers, nor in 1984. Those making and enforcing the rules disregard them without a second’s thought. This type of world can be seen in the movie Equilibrium, a not so big hit for Christian Bale, where people are required to take a dose of Prozium regularly every day. Emotion is banned, “Sense Offense” is punishable by death, and books/art/etc are destroyed so as not to provoke responses from the people, while those in power, as always, do as they please.

Animal Farm – The shortest by far of all three, Animal Farm is a tale about animals when the farmer goes away. At first nothing seems to be amiss, but the longer the farmer is gone, the more each species notices things aren’t right. The pigs first bring this up, forming a council of animals so that work gets done, food is provided to all, and life can continue. Rules are laid down, but soon edited. As they find they are “running the show,” the pigs begin to officially exempt themselves from rules, until the one rule is “All animals are equal, some animals are more equal than others” explaining the “do as you are told without question” attitude that takes over. Before long animals are sick or dead, but the pigs don’t care, as their new life of luxury is not affected, until the farmers come home, and the book ends.

Each of these books is a cautionary tale, all three warning against the traps of socialism/communism. Granted, Brave New World is a kind subjugation, as people are entertained and, via drugs, happy, but it’s still subjugation. All three societal models also spring up from a desire to avoid ills and other problems in society, but in the end, bring only more trouble and strife into being. All three also depend on an ignorant populous, Brave New World by simply outlawing all books or other items that are about “the old ways,” replacing them with meaningless things. 1984 is a society controlled so totally, people literally just eat, sleep and work, while Animal Farm is a mixture, with the pigs keeping the other animals so busy they don’t have time for anything else.

We are, sadly, seeing views like the photo above coming more and more to the fore, despite mountains and years of evidence that it won’t work, because education is now just about indoctrination and preparing students for standardized tests. One to two in three millennials today honestly does not know what Auschwitz or Buchenwald are, or that millions died in those places or places like them. Millions believe the Holocaust never happened, and students are being taught that “gun control” is the answer to every crime they hear about. After Parkland on 14 Feb 2018, we saw a student give a speech, complete with hand gestures, that only differed from a 1930’s Germany speech in the language it was heard in.

We are at a crossroads, and this may very well be the last we get before it’s too late, before our choices are Obey or Death. We have cities, counties and states now banning firearms solely because of their looks, as none address the Mini 14, a rifle that uses the same magazine as an AR-15 that’s chambered in .223 or .556. People are being told to surrender private property, with little to no compensation, or they will be fined, or worse. Students and even adults are so convinced that the Second Amendment is only there to protect muskets, that even when shown that Italy had repeating rifles and the Puckle Gun was first built 70+ years before the Constitution, that they will explode with righteous indignation if and when contradicted. Yet, in the next breath, they will proudly state how intelligent the Founders were to phrase the First Amendment as they did so it encompasses new technology for speech, then go on to state a cross on a public patch of grass is tantamount to their being cuffed and forced into a Church for the Sunday sermon. They not only don’t care, but can’t even see, their hypocrisy, nor will they ever admit their goal is totally disarming all Americans, opening the borders so everyone can come in and thus, more crime will happen, so in the end, 1984 will cease being a warning, as it will have become their playbook.

I wish I was delusional, I wish I was dreaming this while in a psyche ward somewhere, but I’m not. I’m watching the world around me inch closer and closer to tyranny, and seeing millions cheer our slow march to our own death. Far too many did not learn from History, and now we’re all doomed to repeat the worst mistakes of humanity.

Just what is “common sense” reform?

Valentine’s Day 2018 was, as we can all agree, visited by tragedy in Florida, showing the best and worst of humanity. From a JROTC Cadet who died helping students get into a room, two other JROTC Cadets who saw a way to protect others and took it, to a Coach who sacrificed his life for his students. As happens after any tragedy, well most of them, the liberals in Congress and the media jumped on the gun control wagon, with their gunsense hashtag and demands to “regulate assault weapons.” There’s one glaring problem with that goal, the definition of “assault weapon.” A new twist though, is that yes, the term “assault weapon” was used in marketing many years ago, but not for any of the modern firearms that the rabid liberals want all but melted to slag.

Yes, marketing executives used that term to sell rifles, and yes, they stopped when the first “assault weapons ban” was introduced, but there is no standard of what liberals call an assault weapon is today, and worse, the glaring holes in their knowledge is staggering, and I’m not just referring to calling a magazine a clip, or a rifled barrel firearm a gun. We’ve had many press conferences from liberals referring to “ghost guns” and “barrel shrouds” and those are the least of the idiotic things said. When Shannon Watts became the public face of Everytown and Moms Demand Action, the lies and unintelligent drivel was instantly on public display. From claiming that “many of their members are gun owners” to her claim that no one needs a gun that fires ten rounds a minute. The tweet that got her to ban me was when I told her I can walk outside at any time, find and throw ten rocks, one at a time, in under a minute, should my arms be banned?

When confronted with a well reasoned and logical argument, there is also the standby tactic of either calling the person who shuts a liberal down a nazi, bigot, racist, or “literally Hitler.” I have a dubious honor though, as I actually fought that line with historical knowledge I worked years for in my undergraduate studies, to the point where the idiot actually laid hands on me, prompting me to use a simple hold until the cop in the common area took it over, but that’s a story for another day.

You see, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in History, and specifically, military history since the American Revolution. My Great Uncles and Grandfather inspired that, as they fought in World War II, with my Great Uncle Coleman landing at Normandy and going on to fight Rommel in North Africa, while another died in the failed air drop on D-Day. You see, I know Hitler and the tactics he used well, and those very tactics are being emulated today, just not by those the screaming snowflakes claim. You see, “anti-fascist” was a group in the Nazi regime, used to fight anyone standing up to them. Before that was formed though, Hitler knew he had to garner national support, so health care, education, and such were first. By claiming to “have the best of plans” the people rallied to him, and he was among the most charismatic people to have wreaked havoc on the planet. Once he had them in the palm of his hand, he then moved to disarming the public, playing on the old standby that the Police and Military were there to protect them, they should be trusted. Once that was done, we all know what happened, from Krystalnacht in 1939, to Auschwitz and Buchenwald, and the millions killed before 1945.

Moving back to 14 February 2018, Cruz committed multiple crimes before he even left for his attack. You see, the federal background check requires disclosing many things, which had he been honest, would have meant no sale of any firearm. He threatened his ex’s new boyfriend, and even said he would be a “professional school shooter” in a YouTube comment, and his profile there was under his legal name. Police were called out to his home so many times one wonders why he wasn’t either in jail or a psychological institution well before his attack. So the question isn’t about gun control, it’s about mental health. When an actual professional says that Cruz displays classic signs of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, why wasn’t he already known for his crimes?

Now, being a student of History, I cannot sit idle while disinformation and blatant lies are spread, as I can counter them all. When people go on and on about how the AR-15 is the “weapon of choice” for criminals like Cruz, I point out that Oswald and Whitman used bolt action rifles, and in Whitman’s case, a sawed off shotgun. The only reason that Dallas in 62 wasn’t a mass shooting is that Oswald was only interested in Kennedy, but Whitman’s shooting lasted so long because he found excellent cover and with long range not an option, the Police had to get to him, which prompted the creation of the S.W.A.T Programs virtually every city has today. I’ve brought this up many times, and thus far, only one person has actually remained logical and civil in their conversation, and has now agreed it’s about the person, not the tool used.

To explain that last sentence, let’s look at the AR platform. The most common caliber for the AR-15, is .223/.556, which to be honest, isn’t that large a round. In fact, most hunters prefer either .30 .30 or .30 .06, or even larger. I’ve fired a 308 Winchester and a 300 Blackout rifle, and trust me, they are more powerful than my AR ever will be. To be honest, I bought my AR because I want to add a new competition to my belt. I’m already likely in the top 25% of pistol shooters, I’ve not been beaten at Skeet in 20+ years, so now I’m moving to rifles. The AR platform allows me to quickly change optics for short or long range, to add a flashlight if I’m in a room clearing stage, or to add a bipod for lane shooting. Even were I hunter, and I prefer to hunt with my debit card at HEB for my meat, although for chicken I’ll soon have a pen full of them, I wouldn’t use an AR to hunt.

Let’s look at this logically though, which requires looking at the Mini 14, which aside from the look, is just an AR-15 made of wood, as it fires the same caliber as most AR’s and can use a 30 round magazine as well. You see, the argument against the AR-15 is not about it’s capabilities, it’s all down to the look. The desire for an “Army Gun” likely started in the late 1960’s with Vietnam, as we now had live reports on the war, and saw the Soldiers using the M4 and M16, so the manufacturers came up with ideas to mimic it, just not completely. You see, the M4 and M16 can be Select Fire, or in some cases, Fully Automatic. Select Fire means you pull the trigger once and three rounds are released, while of course, Full Auto is where you “spray and pray.” An AR-15 is Semi Automatic only, as when you pull the trigger once, one round is released. This is true for a high percentage of firearms today, from pistols to rifles to even shotguns. Only bolt-action, pump, and single action revolvers are not Semi-Auto, meaning you must manually chamber a round, or cock the hammer, to fire again.

So, with the massive evidence, complete with legislation from the 1980’s which means only the “ultra rich” can buy a true machine gun legally, the question has to be, what true common sense reform can be done. It’s ultimately a simple answer though, and one those screaming don’t want to hear, it’s not about guns, but the users. Cruz, Lanza, Whitman, Oswald, all were mentally unwell, and honestly, should have been under treatment for a good while, possibly their entire life, but the focus on the failures of an industry that makes so much money they can literally buy legislators, isn’t one that is wanted. Cruz was on psychotropic drugs, but HIPPA means that it’s very rare when Doctors report this, at least to the level required to flag a background check. The Sutherland Springs shooter received a Dishonorable Discharge from the USAF, and had a domestic violence charge, but neither were reported in time to stop his purchase. So, as the background check already addresses both situations, they had to lie to get their weapons, and only the lack of reporting and lack of regulations allowing Doctors to legally break Doctor/Patient confidentiality failed here, not the laws in place.

To wrap up, we don’t need to regulate the tools used, but the users. President Trump has undone an act that simply said if you received Social Security Disability, you’re a prohibited possessor, as that could mean if I lose a leg and can no longer work, I’m now disarmed, while if you’re in a psych ward, you also lose that right. This is of course, touted by liberals as “President Trump made it easier for criminals to get guns” which is a bald faced lie. We have the laws needed to ensure you cannot purchase a weapon if you are a felon, domestic abuser, or the like, so we need to look at how those things are reported. When these things are not reported correctly, the person who was to report them should be charged as an accessory, even lightly, to any crimes committed. Doctors should be able to, confidentially and only to law enforcement, report those they feel are not mentally stable to own even a staple gun, perhaps via an office that will include medical experts who can help determine when it should go to law enforcement. I’m not an expert on public policy, or writing laws, although were laws written in layman’s terms, I’m sure I could craft a good many that would help the world. The final step is twofold, dumping most, if not all of the career politicians in Congress today, and enacting term limits and possibly even a mandatory retirement age for the House and Senate (and definitely a retirement age or allowing Doctors to force retirement on SCOTUS, as Ginsberg isn’t able to stay awake now) so that we have turnover to keep new blood and new perspectives among those we elect to lead.

So, my question to you is, what would you do other than jumping on the gun control, ban this or that, bandwagon? Oh, an keep in mind I hold a degree in history, am a politics/history buff, and will find any and all source material to destroy anything that I can, even if I end up destroying my own argument when pushed to start research.

Roy, Reciprocity and Rosie

I was live on Twitter last night about the reciprocity lies and propaganda being spread by the left, but as always, they just keep giving me ways to prove the idiots they are. Well, as we’re used to by now, they just keep one upping themselves on the meter of “how blatantly hypocritical and idiotic can I sound today.” Yesterday I read an article where Rosie O’Donnell said she doesn’t feel like anyone should need a gun, unless they’re a cop, as she told a story about her girlfriend “springing up ready to shoot” when they heard what sounded like a break in. Now, while I disagree with her, this story was her saying she doesn’t think anyone needs a firearm, but today, I find the image below, where she flat out says “I don’t care if it’s your right, you don’t get to.” Simply put, we have liberals today who are so convinced of their “rights” that the actual rights enshrined in the Bill of Rights are ignored and trampled on. Your “right” to not be offended is non-existent, and I guarantee, when someone robs you, or worse, you’ll wish you had a firearm. As for “demanding change,” why don’t you read the U.S. Constitution, there’s a method there. You won’t succeed, but you’ll earn a lot of respect for doing it right, as opposed to the contempt and pity you earn with statements like this one.

The issue here, though, is that we have elected officials who firmly agree with her. Safe behind their gated communities, walled off homes, and armed guards, they believe that the rank and file American public should be forcibly disarmed. Just after the Sutherland Springs shooting, former VP Biden was on TV and said that the man who used his AR-15 to stop the killer, should not have been allowed to carry said weapon, meaning that more people in that church would be dead. Although, keep in mind that this is also the man who, while arguing that no one should be allowed to own a pistol or rifle, said that you just fire through the door with a shotgun, to “scare off” would be intruders.

Their hypocrisy isn’t limited to just the public figures and high profile officials, as we’ve not heard much from Senator Menendez after the jury decided his corruption was OK, but he’s back in the public eye, now stating that any licensed person who enters New Jersey while armed, for any reason, should face a minimum of five years in prison. He doesn’t care that you can get lost on the highway and have to “enter” the state so you can u-turn and go back, you are in danger of being thrown in prison if you enter with a legally owned and carried weapon, because NJ has decided that they are the only state that knows how to handle LAW ABIDING CITIZENS who exercise their rights. Well, Senator, reciprocity goes both ways. If New Jersey officially states that they will not honor any concealed carry license, then no drivers or marriage licenses from that state should be valid in any other. Maybe when New Jersey residents are told their licenses are all invalid outside their home state, they’ll wake up and demand that their state FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION, or they’ll just not leave that state again and we’ll be rid of them. The saddest part is that they openly admit their hypocrisy in cases like this. They scream states’ rights when it comes to Concealed Carry Reciprocity, but demand all states honor what they say is valid. I have personally told people that if a state decides they won’t honor my Texas license to carry, then Texas should decide not to honor marriage or drivers licenses from that state, only to be told I’m an “ignorant bigot who doesn’t understand.” I then pulled up the dictionary definition of reciprocity, only to be told I had pulled up a hacked site. When I said OK, you pull up the dictionary, they started back at the start, with their “bigot” or “racist” accusations. Unlike the idiot at my community college, this one didn’t grab me to “ensure their right to be heard” when I walked away. Although the look on their face said they wanted to hit me when I wrote “I pity the stupid, and you’re their king” and showed it to them. It was petty, but it felt good.

Finally, the hypocrisy is on display for the world with the Roy Moore sideshow. Judge Moore served in one way or another for 40 YEARS, yet when he runs for the U.S. Senate, suddenly a celebrity lawyer and multiple women finally go to the news, not a law enforcement agency, with allegations that things happened 30 years ago. While we have pictures of Al Franken groping a journalist as she sleeps, or creepy Joe Biden on video countless times, the mere allegations are enough to have liberals from New York to New Delhi demanding Roy Moore step down and all but be exiled to the desert. Today there are many links all over my social media to a story where one of the women admits she “altered” the inscription in the yearbook, while also claiming it’s still true, the “I made up this evidence, but that’s it, he still did it, don’t demand proof.” The same yearbook that for almost 3 weeks, the celebrity lawyer has refused to let anyone see as she demands we all accept her expert has analyzed it and it’s valid. With the admission of falsifying evidence, and the other proof that others have lied, this is when the lawyer and all of the women must be told all evidence will be made public, all testimony will be made under oath to a sitting Judge, and when one side is proven correct, the Judge will decide what happens. That way we either get to see a Judge charge these women with attempting to influence an election in ways other than voting, or we see them slink away, whining about how no one believes them, ignoring that they give no reason to.

As I said many times in this post and have said many times before today, the issue boils down to hypocrisy and ego. The DNC is so assured of their own superiority and infallibility that they ignore that their “rights” do not negate our rights. Antifa scream that they’re “fighting fascism” while they use fascist tactics to silence all dissent. The DNC screams that they’re working “for women” as more and more Democrats are proven to be sexual predators. All of this needs to stop and there are simple solutions. If you accuse someone and say you have evidence, give it to law enforcement, don’t just hold it up as press conferences, then say no to anyone who wants to look at it. If you are going to give speeches about protecting women, make sure you aren’t a predator yourself, or surrounded by them.

Congress is full of people who have been in their office for so long they’ve decided they are no longer citizens and servants, but royalty, and we must remind them they are not. All 535 of them work for us, and we need only take their power away, by voting them out, to send a message. Less than 1% of those in the House and Senate should be there today, yet we have 20, 30, and 40+ year office holders, hell bent on maintaining their cushy job, where they give a speech, tell someone they won’t be getting your support, and submit a bill you know will fail once in a while, and collect your pay. No one in this country is above the law, and we need to prove that. I personally feel that Franken shouldn’t just be allowed to resign, but he should be charged and tried for his crimes. Conyers should be in jail, and Clinton and her cronies, including Obama, should be locked away for all of the crimes of the past 8 years. Who knows, if high profile, rich, people start going to jail for their crimes, maybe those who replace them will think twice before saying “we have to pass it to find out what’s in it,” or “millions will die because of this bill.” I know it’s a long shot, but I can dream, right?

Society is at a tipping point, and I can’t say we’ll tip the right way

Just 40 years ago, regardless of your stance on politics, race, money, or religion, people were generally able to exist alongside anyone. There were arguments, just as there are today, but they didn’t end with divorce, or calls for arrest for some imagined crime, they just ended with an agreement to disagree, and not revisit the topic. Even 25 years ago, this was still the case, as I can remember my parents and I having that experience with friends. We may have been upset and avoided the other person all we could for a time, but we generally didn’t dispose of someone for a simple disagreement. During my high school years, when these conversations happened, they were either short lived or lasted months or years, as both parties would go back and research then come back and keep working to bring the other person to their point of view. Many of those I call friends vehemently disagree with me on many topics, from healthcare to immigration and more, and we still call the other a friend, unlike so many today.

During the election of 2016, many people became incensed at others for not agreeing with them on who to vote for, candidates had people insulting and demeaning others over the simple fact that you will never find one candidate that everyone will agree with. From George Washington to Donald Trump, every President has had people who wanted someone else for the office, yet they all were chosen to fill the job for their time. Sadly, today we see violence happening in the name of “resisting a fascist regime” from a group that is using Nazi logos and names, and tactics straight from Mussolini’s or Hitler’s playbook. The simple statement that “when your argument requires you to assault those who disagree, it has no value in any sense” perfectly sums up all of the groups who have rioted to stop what they don’t want. However, if you look at eras in the past, you will rarely find the “I don’t like that, so you can’t do it” attitude, you may see protests, signs outside a business or school, and chants being repeated to bring people to one side or the other, but rarely will you see violence erupt over a mere invitation of a speaker, or not wanting a statue removed from a city park.

This attitude, sadly, has been growing for the last 20 to 25 years, and seems to be all but unstoppable now. From the 1990’s and the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, to today’s demand that the military, and in fact, the federal government, “must” pay for all manner of things, society is at a tipping point. It is my hope that, over the course of this, I can highlight areas were simply walking away, or changing how a topic is approached, may help stop the flight toward anarchy or worse.

I have rights!
The go to argument today, it seems, is that everything is a right, or the denial of someone else’s rights, to stop an argument and “win” the day. Just pointing out that something is or isn’t included in the Bill of Rights is a trigger to call someone racist, sexist, bigot, or nazi, after which all bets are off and the person the group crying hates is instantly a demon from hell to be killed on the spot. Sadly, when the inverse of that argument happens, they defend the person “denying a right” as having the right to so, completely ignoring history and that they so recently argued completely against their new stance.

Just over two years ago (April 2015), a couple in Oregon sued a local baker for not making a cake for their wedding. The bakery in question is owned and run by a Christian couple who said that to do so would violate their faith. Rather than let the free market take over, and see who the public supports, the couple in question sued, eventually winning the day, and forcing the bakery to close. The argument that a business cannot deny service, else they are guilty of discrimination, is one that has been debated for decades, yet until 2015, people didn’t sue, they simply told their friends and family, and let the market decide if the business was guilty or not. If the community disagreed, the business would see sales decline until they either change their policy or close their doors for good. (1)

That same year in Indiana, a pizza parlor was sued by a gay couple for not catering a wedding. Granted, this story produced a seemingly endless stream of humor over any couple wanting pizza for a wedding, but it shined a light on a new law in Indiana, which the restaurant owner said allowed a business to refuse service on religious grounds. In the Oregon case, the bakery was closed and a family’s ability to support themselves was stripped from them, over a simple matter of a cake, while in Indiana, the community rallied around the business and raised money for them to keep them open after being sued. (2)

On the opposite end of the spectrum from the examples above, just two years later (October 2017,) a coffee shop in Seattle, run by a gay man, saw a video go viral, as the owner went on a verbal tirade against Christians, as he kicked them out of his shop, and was very profane in doing so. Using the examples above, one might expect the damaged party (the customer) to sue and force the business owner to capitulate or close their doors, but this one saw nothing of the sort. The ACLU quickly got involved in the first two, proclaiming loudly in both cases that the First Amendment meant that a business could not say their religious freedom trumps anyone else’s, while in the case of this coffee shop, they were silent, and the community saw nothing more than customers treated as if they had urinated on the counter while their heads spun on their necks. (3)

The sad part of this is that a mere 20 years ago, many businesses had signs that they catered to a small group or didn’t serve others. Most were considered jokes, as they read “We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason, with or without explanation.” This was often cause for laughter, or just a decision to not patronize a business, and again, the market decided which businesses succeeded or failed. Granted, this scenario is largely geographic as you will always find areas of any country that hold either very liberal or very conservative views, and the community rarely sees challenges to this, as those who disagree don’t stay long, if they visit at all. Taken as an example, Nashville and Los Angeles are almost on different planets, as in Nashville you find a generally conservative community, raised on Bar-B-Que and beer, and country music, while Los Angeles is so diverse in what you find it could almost be a country on it’s own. From international food, to different cultures, to different religions and lifestyles, when someone from either city visits the other, culture shock is almost too mild a term to use.

These example show two things very clearly, one segment of society demands that no one disagree with them, no one is allowed to run their lives according to anything but what they allow you do, while their polar opposite simply avoid a business that is not in line with their views. Chic-Fil-A has been the target of many tirades and more for their policy of closing on Sunday, despite the policy stating it is to allow employees to spend time as they see fit with their families. When the CEO, Dan Cathy, was interviewed and stated that his personal belief that marriage is a sacred union of a man and woman, the media proclaimed for the world to hear, that the business was homophobic, despite having the quote showing this was Mr. Cathy’s personal opinion. The Robertsons of Duck Dynasty fame faced the same, as the patriarch of the family, and the other members, said their personal belief is that marriage is for a man and woman, and saw the series almost cancelled, despite it always showing the family praying over their meal, and it being obvious that they are a deeply religious family.

All of examples of both sides of this argument point out a massive difference in how the two sides of this situation handle themselves when they are faced with those who disagree. There is a wonderful quote, although who said it first is something attributed to many, but there is a segment of society that says if something offends them, no one may do it, while their inverse simply says if something offends them, they will avoid it. This is perfectly shown in the fact that a baker and pizza parlor were sued, while a coffee shop was not, when they refused service to customers completely opposed to their views. There are very few examples of something so offensive it should not be in polite society, that being vulgar language, pornography, other nudity or graphic displays of affection, as very few people want to see any couple, gay or not, all but having sex in public, or someone dressed in so little a doctor could perform a full physical exam without needing them to disrobe. A prime example is something heard from both sides in the late 1990’s, and even parodied in South Park’s episode entitled Tolerance Camp.

I was sitting with friends just a short time after graduating high school, a few of them openly homosexual, when a story came on the TV about a Gay Pride parade that facing complaints and even threats of charges for public indecency. Knowing our friends, no one was shy about voicing their opinions, as the video showed men in lingerie few women would even want to try on outside of a closed room, and worse. Oddly enough, at least by current standards, the few gay people at the table were the most upset, as they said, it painted homosexuals as being perverse and horrible people, and I agreed with them completely. Those at my table were among the nicest and most amazing people I have known. I joke that, if you get a flat in Texas, don’t worry, in about ten minutes four guys in a truck with tools and beer will be by to help, and everyone at that table would agree we were “those guys” as we would all stop to help anyone who needed it. Aside from asking those few people for clothing advice when I didn’t want my mother or sister to know about a surprise party, they were people to me, just people with expertise in an area I didn’t have, as are the rest, we all find something interesting, and pursue it, and come to the others when needed. But, sadly, today, we’ve seen a movement from one extreme on the political scale to demonize all who don’t believe as they do, and those being demonized are so marginalized that any argument to defend themselves only adds fuel to the fire.

Academia is no longer about academics
Growing up for most Americans, those in their very late 30’s or older, a bad grade was a prompt for your parents to have a conversation about your studies. A note from the teacher about how you were “acting out” was reason for the parents to either ground, or spank, or otherwise punish you. If you were spanked at school, you were spanked again when you got home. My own grades began to slip in high school due to my unwillingness to study, and my parents sat me down and explained why I needed to study. Being who I am, I found a way to “study” so I’d pass, but didn’t truly apply myself, otherwise I would be in a far different place in life today.

Today, however, we have students so assured of their “rights” that they claim discrimination for a failing grade when they didn’t show up, or demand “safe spaces” where they can ignore the world. and their parents are defending them. A cartoon published years ago shows two situations, both where the student had failed a test, where in one the parents ask the child to explain, and in the other, they angrily shout at the teacher to explain. Having gone to college to teach, as I love studying history and teaching, I first found that as I don’t coach any sport, I’m not able to find a teaching position, but also having substituted for several years, this attitude is slowly encroaching on even the most conservative of states and cities. I am thankful I never had to sit in on a conference where parents were told their child was failing, but I did hear students in the halls telling their friends how their parents would “make the teacher change the grade or they’d have them fired.” The attitude of your academic success is someone else’s responsibility teaches only that you need to complain to get your way, and leads to so many other problems in life that no one entering the workforce is able to handle.

I also remember in one class, where I only had one day and it was test-prep, students claiming their teacher allowed the use of iPods and the like when absent, but the teacher didn’t leave me anything stating this, so I told them no. I was accused of being a Draconian Tyrant, and explained that in actuality I was a Jeffersonian, in that I followed the rules unless they were amended by someone with that authority. The students actually began to question me about their test prep, it being an AP Government class, and I ended up getting a long term position from that teacher as a result. In this situation, thankfully, the students wanted to learn, and seeing that they had someone in the classroom who could help, jumped at the chance.

When I returned for my two weeks in the classroom, I lectured, answered questions and generally had a wonderful experience, as the students were bright, engaged, and eager to learn. In the down time, some asked me about various colleges, and other paths in life. I didn’t hold back, telling those who wanted to open an auto garage they should first go to trade school, then learn from a master while getting their business degree slowly, so they’d have little debt and gain experience and real world knowledge, and they were shocked that a teacher didn’t just say “go to college.” Others wanted careers where college was a must, and I told them about loans and such, and advised against debt where it could be avoided. A few of the other teachers cautioned me in this, saying that I could anger parents who wanted their child to attend college, but I will not lie to students and tell them a path that isn’t right for them is. A few parents complained that I was “advising their child that college was wrong,” and I explained that I actually had advised college would help, but that there was a path that would avoid much, if not all, of the normal debt, and was told “you’re lying to cover yourself.”

This shows the attitude so prevalent in the world today, that being “I’m right, don’t you dare say you didn’t do what I said, you’re wrong and must now suffer!” After that experience, I was ready to tell that school district not to call me, but a move negated that need, as well as entering my Junior year, where I was either waiting tables, delivering pizza, in class or asleep, so the situation was resolved, but I was saddened still that parents are so hell bent on their child going to college, regardless of the child’s desires, that they will attack anyone actually listening to the child and being honest.

The rise of the social justice warrior
In each example used so far, you see an attitude of “I’m right, do as a say” which has given rise to the SJW, or Social Justice Warrior. This person cares little for anything but getting their way, as they will sue a bakery for disagreeing, support a coffee shop for kicking out a customer who wasn’t asking for special treatment or service, and silence all dissent. In April of 2016, Milo Yiannopoulos and Steven Crowder were invited to speak at U Mass, by the college Republicans, at an event now known as The Triggering (4 and 4.) This was, by design, meant to challenge students’ positions on various topics, to get them to debate and discuss, and learn from each other. Sadly, it went exactly opposite to the plans, with students cursing and shouting down the speakers. The students, in this case, in an attempt to avoid being offended, managed to offend many more to a higher degree.

The simple fact is, today we have people on all sides of every issue that firmly believe in their own infallibility and their right to not be challenged. When you suggest that the government should not force citizens to purchase a product provided by the government, you’re accused of wanting “millions to die.” When you point out that you simply want the mandate removed, not the products, you’re told you’re lying, that you want death and you will never change their mind. This is a large issue for sure, but this attitude goes much farther than just Health Care or other government programs. Stories have been told many times of a woman ranting at a man for holding the door as she “doesn’t need a man” to do that for her. Some have the man saying fine, then entering and not holding the door, only to then be berated for being rude. That event, ranting about holding the door and not holding the door, shows the attitude of “I’m always right, do as I say!” the clearest. How is anyone to know if someone wants a door held for them or not? A video online some ago shows a woman ranting at a couple as they simply share a chaste kiss for “having sex” in a restaurant. When the business refuses to kick them out, the woman then throws her food on the ground and demands a refund, after which it gets worse when she’s told no.

Opponents of unfettered immigration and open borders are accused of racism for wanting all immigration laws already on the books enforced. When those people ask what race an “illegal immigrant” is, they’re screamed at for “clouding the issue” and being racist. When illegal immigrants rape or kill an American, and are given little more than a slap on the wrist by a “sanctuary city” (5) opponents of illegal immigration use this to show why our laws must be enforced, while supporters of open borders say it’s a “random incident” and “shouldn’t be used to tar good people” but they can’t offer any statistics to show how it’s an isolated incident.

The cries of racism or sexism aren’t restricted to illegal immigration or opinionated people who believe they have a right to be right. Very few people today will argue in favor of Jim Crowe laws as we saw in the 1950’s and 1960’s, rather the opposite, as “separate but equal” never works. But, today, we have minority students demanding segregation, companies sued for not hiring a minority over a more qualified person, and even calls to change a character’s race or gender to be “inclusive.” One company, just over 15 years ago, had a policy that all applications were online and anyone including “anything that would give away the race or sex of the applicant” was disqualified. The first and second interviews were automated via phone, the third via phone with a live person, and the fourth was all but a job offer and the first time you were seen by anyone. This company was sued (although they won each time) for “policies that harmed minorities” and the argument was that minorities wouldn’t have access to the needed technology, despite public libraries not charging for internet time to apply for jobs, and phones being widely available and inexpensive.

The popular culture arguments are even more comical, as they are almost all made by those who would never watch the program they demand conform to their point of view. Two examples show how the policy works wonderfully, or could fail dramatically. The Flash, on the CW network, has the characters of Joe, Iris, and Wally West, played by African Americans, and being a long time fan of the comic myself, I noticed the change, but never cared, as these three are amazing in the role they play. This shows that if you hire for talent, it won’t matter who is playing the role, unless there is a reason to otherwise look for talent. Doctor Who, for years, has come under fire for not having a woman play The Doctor. Initially, the role of someone who fled their planet to avoid military conscription, and being the 1960’s, meant a man, but over time, we have seen women assume roles originally played by men, from Commanders on Gallifrey, to Missy taking over from The Master, and the new Doctor coming in late 2017 is a woman, but from all reports, will do amazingly, indicating that until now, the right woman for the role just wasn’t available. In a funny twist of fate, someone was outraged that Superman on the CW show Supergirl was to only be white, despite having a white man playing the role in the credits, while another was incensed that Rami Malek, a “white man,” was playing an Egyptian Pharaoh in the Night at the Museum movies, until Malek let them know he was born in Egypt, and thus, actually an Egyptian!

This argument also comes into play in many other situations, but it always comes down to the same basic tenet, hire based on race/sex to avoid being racist/sexist, and the irony of “you must be racist/sexist to not be racist/sexist” just brings about the response of “you’re too ignorant to understand.”

Agree with me or you’re a Nazi and to be killed

The secondary tactic today is to call everyone who doesn’t agree with and follow you without question a nazi. Being a student of history, and having already said this here, those using that accusation to silence dissent are actually using the nazi tactics and logic. After World War 1, Germany was demoralized and dejected, until a charismatic man named Adolf Hitler rose to power and gave the country a scapegoat and whipped them into a frenzy. This is a typical tactic, that being to paint your opponent as so evil that all around you will rally to your defense. Charlottesville, VA saw a violent clash between “nazis” and “antifa,” although many now claim to have seen these groups come in on the same busses, suggesting they are simply one group instigating violence to get their way.

My personal stance, and arguments, against this argument is simple, my Grandfather and Great Uncles fought in World War II against the actual Nazis, with one dying on D-Day and laying in Calais to this day. My Great Uncle Coleman, a tank commander on D-Day and in North Africa, rode into Paris when it was liberated, and told me about his time in the Army fighting a brutal regime that murdered millions for the “crimes” of being Jewish, or gay, or otherwise undesirable. Just under a century before that, my ancestors fought to free slaves in the south, but because I don’t support what these “enlightened” people do, I am now painted as nazi.

The clarion call, of course, is to disarm all who are legally armed after any event involving a firearm. A “white supremacist” killed African Americans after the election of President Trump and the call was for gun control, not killer control. Those crying for “common sense gun control” ignore the tool used when it’s a pressure cooker (Boston Marathon bomber,) a truck (NYC,) or a van full of fertilizer (OKC Federal building,) and look for how to fix mental health, but when someone uses a firearm, you’re a nazi for wanting to address the actual issue, not just ban a tool.

Looking at three specific events should show how making a tool illegal is going to do nothing, as Chicago and Detroit should prove on their own. Columbine High School saw a brutal massacre of students, by other students, using weapons stolen from their parents or others they knew. These were high school students, and thus, they should not have any legal way to purchase a firearm. The only exception is if they were already 18, they can legally buy a shotgun, but they used other weapons that they could not legally purchase, so if they acquired the weapons illegally, how would yet another law stop them. Sandy Hook Elementary was virtually identical, with the killer stealing the weapons to kill with them. Again, he acquired them illegally, but the call was to pass another law, not address how to stop the person. This one also showed media ignorance, as they showed a photo of an AR-15, when that was left in his car and not used. Finally, Sutherland Springs, TX, saw a Baptist Church targeted by an avowed atheist who hated Christians. While he did purchase his weapon, he should not have been allowed to, as had his Dishonorable Discharge and Domestic Violence charges been properly reported when they happened, the state of TX would have had him on record as a prohibited possessor, meaning legally, he shouldn’t have been allowed any weapons. But, in the aftermath, former Vice President Biden is on record saying the man who had his own AR-15, and stopped this murderer, should not have been allowed to have the weapon that stopped a killer and saved lives.

The simple fact is that if you argue against removing a statue, for a speaker to come to a private event, or for law abiding citizens to be armed as the law allows, you are labeled a “nazi” and will be attacked, in some cases, physically and to the point of death.

What do we take away from this?
What we take away from this is, simply, that it is still a long and hard fight to bring common sense back to society as a whole. Those accused of being nazis, or racists, or sexists, will be among the first to tell you that someone who has a history of violence should not be allowed to own a firearm, or a man deported five times who has felonies in addition to his illegal status should not be allowed in the country before he is even able to kill someone. But they also tell you that a private business can deny service, and the free market should then decide if that was a wise choice.

These are the people who stop in a driving rainstorm to change a stranger’s tire, who hear about a family in their community suffering a loss and rally to cook meals and help, and generally do all they can to help anyone in need. Those accusing them of all manner of horrible things are those who demand that you wait for the Police when a killer is standing over you. They scream that you want children dead for suggesting women arm themselves to prevent assault, while also screaming that we need to “teach men not to rape,” as if it’s a genetic thing, although they also tell you being a man isn’t genetic.

The arguments don’t make sense, as they tell you that rape culture is only fixable by “teaching men not to rape,” then tell you that you can’t assume someone’s gender. They ignore the actual culture of rape in Hollywood and the DNC, while harping on “locker room talk” from over a decade ago from a man who, until he ran for President, was never accused of racism or sexism. All of this, to me, proves that we don’t have a racism, sexism, or homophobia issue, we have an willful ignorance issue.

If someone broke into your home five times, each time doing damage to your property and family, would you welcome them back again, and then say they didn’t do anything wrong by their actions leading to the death of one of your family? No, you wouldn’t, although I also wouldn’t argue that a pistol round can ricochet and kill as was argued in this case, having read about it, but that is just what the jury in San Fransisco has said. If you were beaten to a pulp would you blame the bat, or the person swinging it? If you were fired for calling in sick when found to later be at a baseball game, would you blame racism for your being found out to be lying? This is the crux of the matter and what must change, as we have almost half of all Americans today blaming everyone but the person responsible. Zarate, after killing Kate Steinle, is acquitted despite multiple felony convictions and deportations, companies are accused of racism when a minority who is less qualified than a non-minority, doesn’t get the job they want, and men are accused of all manner of crimes for merely living their lives. The question here then becomes simple, when, if ever, will society finally stop this madness? If we don’t, we are headed for the end of the grand experiment that is the Shining City on the Hill that is the United States.

The Rules
Now, I’m sorry I have to put this here, but as I’m going to encourage my followers on Gab and Twitter to share this, so as to have as many as possible in the conversation, there are some rules I do not budge on when it comes to comments.

Remain civil and respectful of everyone’s right to their own opinion. You do have a right to think and believe as you do, but so do those you disagree with.

This is, by my design, an family friendly blog. Yes, I know that the topics I write about are not those children, or even teenagers, normally read about and discuss, but part of rule one, being civil, is not resorting to profanity.

If you resort to a base insult, you will immediately be ignored by me and all others who understand the rules of a debate. If I challenge your point and you call me racist, you are proven to be someone unworthy of my time and respect, and I will ignore you after that.

CITE! YOUR! SOURCES! I have cited my sources for the examples above, and if you have an example used where the source isn’t cited, you can assume it’s my own personal experience, but feel free to ask. If you are asked for source material, either admit you’re using something you can’t prove, or provide the source material.

Finally, and most importantly, I am never, by disagreeing with you, denying any right or insulting you, rather, I am embracing my own right to free speech, and questioning what I do not believe. If you are unable to convince me, that is not my “denying your right” to anything, it’s my refusal to embrace your point of view simply because you demand I do.

Addendum – I’ve fought the HTML and revised over ten times now and I cannot get a constant result of a SIMPLE CARRIAGE RETURN after the centered section headers.  I know it looks bad, but sadly WordPress is apparently in a mood to undo all changes when I save a draft.
